High traffic during the Fakuma from 12th to 16th October 2021 expected – Recommendation: Checking current traffic information before arrival and departure
Friedrichshafen – When the Fakuma trade fair from the 12th to the 16th October 2021 at the exhibition center in Friedrichshafen, the trade fair city on Lake Constance is experiencing a large crowd of international exhibitors and trade visitors. In order to be able to control the considerable traffic from all directions well on the days of the fair, the exhibition management, in consultation with the authorities and the police, provides important information in advance.
Commuters who normally travel daily via the exhibition road to Friedrichshafen and return in the evening should avoid the route during the Fakuma and bypass the exhibition center on other routes. Sufficient alternative parking spaces (Park & Ride) will be available for the trade fair audience in the wider area, which will be opened depending on traffic. The exhibition management therefore asks all trade fair visitors and commuters to observe the current signs and to check the current traffic information from Google Maps at the following link before each arrival and departure: https://firstname.lastname@example.org,9.3303878,11z/data=! 5m1! 1e1
Start early: In principle, it is recommended to arrive outside rush hours (7.30 – 10.00). Those who leave earlier save a lot of time. Significant traffic disruptions around the fair can also be expected between 5 and 7 p.m.
Use secondary routes: In the event of backlog on the B31 from Lindau, Stockach, Kressbronn or Meersburg, trade fair visitors should follow the secondary route signs “Messe”.
Other measures such as Formation of carpooling, use of public transport or bicycles contribute to the prevention of traffic jams.
