The IT security sector has been waiting a long time for this: after numerous live events were canceled due to the pandemic, the it-sa Expo & Congress brings IT security experts together again for personal exchange. As usual in the Nuremberg Exhibition Center, but for the first time in the new Halls 7 and 7A as well as in the modern and directly adjacent NürnbergConvention Center East. With over 270 exhibitors from 18 countries and an extensive supporting program on cybersecurity issues, the it-sa trade fair from October 12th to 14th underlines its importance as a central platform for dialogue on the topic in the middle of Europe. Congress @ it-sa starts on October 11th and also brings the annual conference of IT security officers in federal states and municipalities back to Nuremberg.itsa365.de transferred.
“With it-sa 2021, we are offering the IT security industry the much-awaited trade fair restart for intensive technical discussions and personal networking. With the dialogue platform it-sa 365, we offer additional information online for trade fair preparation and networking opportunities even after the trade fair. In this way we combine onsite and online for maximum benefit for exhibitors and visitors, ”explains Frank Venjakob, Director it-sa, NürnbergMesse.
Positive response: Participation from 18 countries
The exhibiting companies from 18 countries will travel to it-sa 2021, including the USA, Israel and Great Britain within the top 5. “Not quite three months ago, there was the green light for holding trade fairs in Bavaria – and thus planning security for our exhibitors. The great international response and the participation of over 270 companies shows the importance of it-sa all the more. We are very pleased to welcome the IT security world back to Nuremberg! ”, Says Thomas Preutenborbeck, member of the NürnbergMesse management team.
Forum contributions and it-sa insights convey specialist knowledge
Of course, the lectures and discussions should not be missing in the it-sa forum program. There are more than 130 this year, including live hackings and numerous product-neutral articles that have been recognized as “it-sa insights”. The roundtable discussion “The broken investment chain of the European cyber security market”, for example, promises an exciting perspective. For the first time, representatives of the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO) shed light on the framework conditions for IT security companies in Europe and the reasons for a funding deficit in cybersecurity technologies compared to Israel or the USA.
The forum program of it-sa 2021 will take place on four stages, including the English-language International Forum with exclusively English-language contributions. These are broadcast live and are available at: itsa365.de/international-forum
Focus on startups and innovations
The special area of Startups @ it-sa in Hall 7A and the presentation of the UP @ it-sa Award, the prize for outstanding performance by young companies in the DACH region, convey the special innovative strength that lies in the growth market for IT security solutions. XignSys can look forward to that. The young team was able to convince the expert jury and also score points with its authentication solution in the online pitch, which invited participants to participate in the decision-making process on it-sa 365. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 14th from 10:00 a.m. in the Forum International in Hall 7A. The three winners of the “German-Baltic Business Award”, which honors outstanding cybersecurity providers from the Baltic states, will also be presented on Wednesday.

Hygiene concept: personal networking – but safe!
Together with the Bavarian State Government and the Bavarian trade fair companies, NürnbergMesse has developed a sustainable hygiene concept that enables it-sa to visit the trade fair safely. The basis for this is the incidence value-independent general hygiene concept for trade fairs and exhibitions that is valid in Bavaria. Specific measures to protect the trade fair participants include regular air exchange and a state-of-the-art ventilation concept, distance maintenance through space and capacity management, mask requirement in indoor areas, hygiene precautions on site, digital registration and access systems and the associated possibility of tracking contacts. In addition, all trade fair participants need a valid 3G certificate (recovered, vaccinated, tested).
