New: Pleasure mile at over 140 meters in the market hall
Karlsruhe, 13. October 2021 – How does it actually taste, the offerta region? Visitors can do this from the 30th October to the 7th November at the offerta on the grounds of Messe Karlsruhe. In addition to the gastronomic offer in the offerta beer garden in the atrium, enjoyment is the focus of the newly designed market hall this year: visitors will find a 140-meter-long pleasure mile with delicacies from their regional homeland, but also from all over the world in the middle of the dm arena. In addition to sweet dishes such as Nordic honey from the Tietjen beekeeping, Langos from Rastatter Langos König and chocolate waffles from the Wawi chocolate world from Primasens, it becomes hearty with grilled food from Karlsruhe’s Skandi village, Vespers from the butcher Schurr from Baiersbronn and fish times anners from Friedeburg. The new Genussmeile invites you to feast and linger, says Melanie Seger, offerta project manager. “It was important for our offerta visitors to us to create a place of encounter where you can comfortably watch the hustle and bustle of the fair and at the same time strengthen yourself – and this succeeds on one of the numerous seating areas along the Genussmeile,” Melanie Seger continues. Household goods and luxury goods to take away are also available in the market hall. The offer ranges from cooking pots, pans and cutting boards to Thermomix and vacuum cleaners.
Digital cooking stage: offerta recipes for the home
Washable, regional dishes for cooking are available at the digital cooking stage in the market hall. On an LED screen, visitors can look over the shoulder of the veteran of Karlsruhe gastronomy, Waldemar Fretz, among others, and pick up tips for Hoepfner’s crow goulash with spaetzle and glazed pumpkin. Show chef Eberhard Braun (“Taste the South”) delivers recipes for autumn fruit apple with homemade apple cider vinegar or Lake Constance apple pie. The recipes are also available to take away on offerta: simply scan the QR code on site and cook it at home. Alternatively, interested parties can also find the recipes on www.offerta.de and on the Youtube page of offerta.
Coffee: the lifestyle drink at the offerta
According to Statista, the German online portal for statistics, coffee is the most popular hot drink of Germans. Around 164 liters are drunk per capita annually. Coffee is therefore part of the lifestyle of the Germans and should therefore not be missing in the hall Lifestyle (Hall 3) at offerta. This year, Brettener Kaffeerösterei & Café Nerone will bring visitors to the enjoyment of Café Crema, Café Gusto & Co. Whether consumed on site or with one of the coffee bean mixtures for the home. Among them is the Brettener Caffé with a very expressive, aromatic flavor acid or the Nerone cream, which comes from one of the most famous growing regions in Guatemala, which is famous for its quality. The coffee enjoyment on site is rounded off by a small supporting program on stage in the middle of the lifestyle café, where the latest fashion trends are mainly discussed – with a fashion show by IMI from Waldbronn and tips on the successful autumn outfit from the Nagel fashion house from Durlach. A coffee break is also worthwhile in the Markthalle: in addition to the Karlsruhe barista Harry, the offerta Café, operated by the Hatz bakery, welcomes its guests in the rear part of the market hall.
Tickets are now available at www.offerta.de/tickets and during the event on site.
