【DE】AI will end the Industrial Age – Special keynote by Chris Boos at it-sa 2021

Hans-Christian (“Chris”) Boos gives the special keynote of it-sa 2021. At the Nuremberg Exhibition Center, the IT entrepreneur and AI expert will speak on the 14th. October at 12:00 noon on the role of artificial intelligence in the digital age. Boos is a member of the Digital Council of the Federal Government, advises companies and combines experience as a supervisory board and investor in the tech segment.

The end of the industrial age?

According to his thesis, the increasing use of artificial intelligence heralds the farewell to the industrial age. Systems that are capable of autonomous decision-making not only raise new ethical, moral and legal questions. There are also new challenges for IT security research and development. With his lecture “AI will end the Industrial Age – Let’s find some love for the future!” Chris Boos continues the series of special keynote lectures at it-sa. Personalities such as Edward Snowden, IT security expert Paula Januszkiewicz or Maximilian Schrems already used the last day of the fair to take stock of data protection and security.

The special keynote is freely accessible to visitors and representatives of exhibiting companies. In addition, the English-language lecture will be available via the it-sa 365 platform.

Strengthening digital protective ramparts – at it-sa 2021 in Nuremberg

From 12th to 14th October, more than 270 exhibitors from 18 countries will show at it-sa 2021 how IT security managers strengthen their organization’s digital protection walls. For the first time since it-sa 2019, the industry will meet again in person at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center for professional exchange. Joint stands from Austria, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria as well as the participation of national and international associations and organizations underline the importance of Europe’s largest IT security trade fair.

Hygiene concept: Personal networking possible

Together with the Bavarian State Government and the Bavarian trade fair companies, NürnbergMesse has developed a sustainable hygiene concept that enables it-sa to visit the fair safely. The basis for this is the incidence-independent framework hygiene concept for trade fairs and exhibitions valid in Bavaria. Concrete measures to protect the trade fair participants include regular air exchange and a state-of-the-art ventilation concept, distance preservation through area and capacity management, mask obligation indoor areas, hygiene precautions on site, digital registration and access systems and thus the possibility of contact tracking. Another essential cornerstone is the 3G concept, which provides for trade fair access only for vaccinated, recovered or tested.
