After three days of trade fairs, Indoor Air, trade fair for ventilation and air quality, has come to a successful end today. The unique face-to-face event set an essential accent in and for the industry with its focus topic “Clean air indoors”.
The air conditioning and ventilation industry showed a lot of foresight, courage and entrepreneurial spirit when it came to Messe Frankfurt less than ten months ago with the idea of launching this trade fair at short notice and under special conditions. We are pleased how well Indoor-Air was accepted as a long-awaited industry meeting,” concludes Wolfgang Marzin, Chairman of the Management Board of Messe Frankfurt. The purely German-language event attracted around 2,300 participants. In addition to traditional trade visitors such as planners, architects or decision-makers from industry, numerous interested representatives of authorities and institutions also came. The accompanying conference program met with great interest throughout.
The majority of exhibiting companies were satisfied with the course of the fair. Among trade visitors, it was over 90 percent. These positive results go hand in hand with an optimistic basic mood in the industry. More than 50 percent of the issuers surveyed currently expect the industry economy to improve in the next twelve months. After all, a third considers it stable.
Equally positive is the response of the Fachverband Gebäude-Klima e.V. (FGK) for indoor air. Fortunately, our expectations were exceeded. The visitors were highly interested in the entire topic of ventilation and infection protection. We were surprised by the strong influx in the On Air lecture area – Food Air. This showed us that with the presented lectures we were able to meet the information needs of the visitors. Overall, we can state that it was important and right to hold this fair,” describes Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Kaup, Chairman of the Board of the Building Climate Association e.V. (FGK), the course of the fair.
Seeing new products, expanding your own expertise and getting a market overview were the top 3 motivation factors for a visit to indoor air. The trade visitors showed particularly high interest in ventilation technology and ventilation equipment and systems. Two-thirds of those surveyed are decision-makers or involved in the purchasing and procurement process in their company.
The air conditioning and ventilation industry has its next trade fair appearance in Frankfurt am Main as part of ISH, the world’s leading trade fair for water, heat and air conditioning, from 13th to 17th March 2023.
