Doctors, stagekeepers, shoe manufacturers and sellers, as well as other experts, will arrive at the Brno Exhibition Centre on 22 August, where the 2nd International Podiatric Symposium is held. This is subtitled Healthy Foot and Healthy Shoes and was prepared by the Czech Shoe and Leather Association in cooperation with the Czech Podiatric Society. “I am very glad that this year we managed to organize this event at kabo fair,” said Vlasta Mayerová, Director of the Czech Shoe and Leather Association.
The symposium is divided into two parts. The first block focuses mainly on the baby’s leg. He focuses, for example, on the principles of the construction of healthy footwear for children, but also on the wearing of children with foot defects and the effects of orthopedic insuonics. “In the second block, listeners will learn about the topic of foot care for diabetes patients and the principles of their attion,” Mayer said. She added that an international project will also be presented at the event, which aims to raise awareness and knowledge about the specifics of diabetic foot and the important role of footwear in preventing ulcerations and other adverse events in diabetics’ legs.
According to the director of the association, the symposium is beneficial in increasing the knowledge of both sellers and manufacturers. “It is necessary to start with the prevention of deformities from a young age by wearing the population properly and healthyly in quality shoes,” he thinks.
Admission to the symposium, which takes place in hall P1 in Pavilion P, is free of charge. However, due to capacity, it is necessary to register in advance by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Participants will receive a certificate of completion of the symposium.
