【DE】IN.STAND 2021 with highlights in the supporting program

Industry meeting point establishes itself / further training as a core element in the event concept

The IN.STAND, trade fair for maintenance and services, is developing into a fixed hub for the industry. Supply and demand meet here perfectly. The importance for users appears to be even more important. Because the training opportunities at IN.STAND are unique in their breadth. Dr. Walter Rogg, Managing Director of the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation (WRS), emphasizes: “Technical service and maintenance are becoming more and more dynamic in the face of rapidly advancing digitization, also with a view to the possibilities of artificial intelligence. In addition, the margin trend is increasingly shifting in the direction of service, which is often associated with new business models. Because of this increasing complexity, it is important that entrepreneurs attend trade fairs such as the IN.

IN.STAND specialist forum powered by PILZ

The specialist forum is very popular. Here on October 26, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., Dr. Marc-Daniel Mössinger, Project Manager Allianz Industrie 4.0 at the Association of Machine and Plant Builders (VDMA) Baden-Württemberg kicked off with his keynote “Mechanical engineering in the (post) Corona period”. It continues with exciting lectures and insights from science and practice. For example, Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Adolf, Group Leader Maintenance Management at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) discussed the topic “Smart Maintenance – Impulses from Applied Research”. A real novelty awaits the visitors in the open lecture by Prof. Dr. Lennart Brumby, Head of Service Engineering at DHBW Mannheim with his guest lecturer Uwe Koch, CEO at WISAG Industrie Service Holding.

Service, maintenance and repair of built-in cobots will be dealt with by Dirk Thamm, Managing Director of FAuDE Tec in his lecture on October 27, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. On the same afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Lukas Weber, CEO of Sonic Technology, uses success stories to shed light on how to switch to smart maintenance in eight weeks. Participation in the specialist forum is free of charge for visitors on site.

IN.STAND Studio powered by WISAG

What has already proven itself in the purely digital edition of IN.STAND in 2020 will be continued in the hybrid event concept in 2021. The IN.STAND studio will stream live from the exhibition hall to the digital platform on both days of the fair. This also enables nationwide and foreign interested parties to transfer knowledge in a well-founded manner. The studio offers a variety of topics comparable to that of the specialist forum. The namesake WISAG devotes several lectures to the areas of digitalization of maintenance, preventive maintenance, industrial facility management and outsourcing. Uwe Koch, Managing Director of WISAG Industrie Service Holding, explains: “The current time presents us and the entire industry with great challenges, At the same time, after this corona winter, which was tough for all of us, I also perceive a strong spirit of optimism. We want to use this new energy – that’s why we see IN.STAND as the ideal platform for networking and exchange within the maintenance area. Let’s tackle the issues of the future together! ”

IN.STAND Academy imparts specific specialist knowledge

What is new is the offer within the framework of the IN.STAND Academy to develop specific specialist knowledge in a targeted manner. The academy’s two professional partners are FIR eV at RWTH Aachen University and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Engineering and Automation. On both days of the fair it is possible to book one and a half hour teaching modules for a fee. At the end, the participants receive a certificate and can also visit the trade fair. The teaching modules deal with the topics of smart maintenance, management of maintenance based on key performance indicators (KPI), process management in maintenance and an overview of smart maintenance applications and methods. The booking is made via the trade fair ticket shop. The trade fair ticket, catering and certificate are included in the price of 149 euros each.
