The infa, one of the largest and most successful adventure fairs in Germany, will not take place this year due to the ongoing corona pandemic. Despite the currently limited infection rate, numerous exhibitors questioned their participation for the autumn, according to infa boss Carola Schwennsen from Deutsche Messe AG in Hanover. Schwennsen: “We cannot currently guarantee the exhibitors and visitors that we will be able to hold infa in the usual size and variety in October. This planning uncertainty has led many to skip this year. ”
In addition, the exhibiting companies would already have to order goods for the nine-day trade fair, recruit stand personnel and commission trade fair stands. However, since most of them had a financially difficult year behind them, the risk of an infa with fewer visitors than usual was too high for them, according to Schwennsen.
The organizers are now counting on infa 2022. They want to use the break in order to be able to “get off to a full start” in the coming year together with exhibitors, partners and artists. Schwennsen: “We have already received the signal from almost everyone that they will be back in 2022. That is why we are optimistic and energetic about the next year instead of doing things by halves now. “
