Messe Erfurt GmbH and the Zentralverband des Deutschen Friseurhandwerks are consistently reacting to the increasing incidence cases of the COVID-19 pandemic
That for 16th to 17th Hairfestival StyleCom planned for October 2021 must be postponed to autumn 2022 due to the increasing incidence numbers and the associated pandemic development.
The unique festival concept of StyleCom with trade exhibition and show event, which is designed for live encounters between the actors, stars, influencers and visitors, unfortunately cannot be implemented in autumn 2021 under the current pandemic situation in compliance with all infection protection rules. Messe Erfurt and the Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade have decided on this.
Until the end, we had hoped not to have to take this step. But with a view to a possible fourth wave in autumn 2021, we do not know under what conditions StyleCom could take place. Therefore, we had to decide to cancel,” regrets Michael Kynast, Managing Director of Messe Erfurt GmbH.
The past weeks and the increasing incidence numbers have made the preparations for the StyleCom community event considerably more difficult and caused uncertainty and restraint throughout the industry. To make matters worse, further hygiene restrictions may be expected due to the focus of the hair festival in the beauty and hairdressing industry with its body-related services. And this contradicts the entire festival character of the event,” says Jörg Müller, Managing Director of the Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade.
The next StyleCom will take place in autumn 2022.
