The past months have been intense times. In addition to the federal and state governments, municipalities, cities and municipalities in particular bear great responsibility in the Corona pandemic. This makes it all the more important to exchange, network and learn from each other on these challenges. As a nationwide home for decision-makers and experts from the municipal sector, the COMMUNALE is the ideal place for this exchange. We are currently in the middle of preparations to look forward together in October and to meet in person for the family meeting of the municipal sector in Nuremberg,” says Claudia Reindl, project manager KOMMUNALE at NürnbergMesse.
And the 12th Edition of the trade fair is becoming diverse: More than 270* exhibitors have already decided to exhibit live and to bring business relationships back to life in a personal conversation. The comprehensive range of services, which covers all relevant topics of municipal needs, has always been a special feature of the COMMUNALE. What is striking this year is that we have numerous exhibitors on board who present novelties, products or services that strong municipalities currently urgently need – from digitization to climate and environmental protection to energy, water supply or transport,” Reindl gives an outlook.
Congress of the Bavarian Municipal Convention and exhibitor forums
Parallel to the trade fair, the Congress of the Bavarian Municipal Convention (BayGT) will take place again this year in the NCC Mitte. The congress takes up relevant municipal policy topics nationwide from a Bavarian perspective. Topics that currently move municipalities. After the massive loss of revenue due to the Corona pandemic, the focus in 2021 is, among other things, on municipal finances. What should happen next here? Congress visitors can expect answers from the Bavarian Minister of State of Finance and for Homeland, Albert Füracker, MdL, who has already promised his participation. But mega topics such as climate protection, digitization or recruitment of skilled workers in the public sector are also dealt with from a municipal point of view. The popular exhibitor forums in both exhibition halls provide expertise and practical user tips every 30 minutes.
Hygiene concept: Personal networking possible
Together with the Bavarian State Government and the Bavarian trade fair companies, NürnbergMesse has developed a sustainable hygiene concept that enables a safe visit to the trade fair of KOMMUNALE. The basis for this is the incidence-value-independent framework hygiene concept for trade fairs and exhibitions valid in Bavaria. Concrete measures to protect the participants of the trade fair include regular air exchange and a state-of-the-art ventilation concept, distance maintenance through area and capacity management, mandatory masks indoors, hygiene precautions on site, digital registration and access systems and the possibility of contact tracking. Another essential cornerstone is the 3G concept, which provides for visitor access only for vaccinees, recovered or tested.
