After challenging months for the industry, the host fair HOGA will take place from 17th to 19th October at the Nuremberg Trade Fair as a face-to-face event. After the summer season, there is finally another opportunity to make preparations for the long-awaited reunion, the personal exchange with colleagues, and the preparations for the important Christmas business and the winter season.
Nuremberg – At HOGA, hospitality is the focus! Which trends are simply an unusual idea and which innovations are tangible approaches for a successful and sustainable gastronomy? Veg & Veggi
At Veg & Veggi, the focus is on vegetarian and vegan nutrition. Vegan and vegetarian offers are more than food without meat, but an increasingly significant extension of the menu. In the “Meat & Fire” area, HOGA visitors will find everything about the entire value chain of the meat under the motto “Nose to Tail”, from the selection of the right basic product to the high-quality, modern dish as well as information about grilling, frying or smoking. Meat has become political, a question of attitude or renunciation. Gastronomy rethinks farming methods, discovers new refinements and expands the methods of preparation.
The beverage card as a revenue generator
With the “roastery”, coffee, as a trendy drink and important sales promoter in gastronomy, gets its own special area,
in which fairly traded coffee, the matching coffee machines and tips for aspiring and experienced baristas are presented. In addition, HOGA focuses on creative ideas for the beverage menu as well as the offers of regional brewers and winemakers.
Well situated with year-round beer garden or kids’ lounge
The topics of kitchen technology, furnishing and equipment as well as service and organization must not be missing in any successful operation. HOGA delivers the right offers. This also includes individual solutions to extend the summer season and make outdoor gastronomy attractive in all weather conditions. Under the motto “Kids’ First Choice”, concepts and offers are presented that make gastronomy and the hotel industry more child-friendly.
German Hotel Day on the 17th and 18th October
New trends on forms of housing in the future up to novel micro-hotels made of sea containers will be presented at the German Hotel Day on the 17th and 18th October parallel to the HOGA. The focus in 2021 is on sustainability and new space use needs. Target groups are private hoteliers, holiday real estate landlords, restaurateurs as well as interior designers and municipal representatives. On the first day, the topic of Tiny House is the focus, the second day focuses on current questions and hotel topics.
Start-up competition: Apply now!
HOGA is looking for innovative ideas that enrich the Bavarian hospitality industry: for example, solutions for the modern hotel industry and gastronomy as well as novelties and trends in food & beverage. Deadline for participation in the HOGA start-up competition 2021 is the 31. August. The best entries will be evaluated by a jury of experts led by Dagmar Wöhrl, Silke Popp and Thomas Förster and the winners have the opportunity to present themselves live at the HOGA in Nuremberg.
Trade fair re-start in Bavaria
The 1st August is the official start date for trade fair operation in Bavaria. With this decision, the Bavarian State Government has given a new, important signal for the re-start of the trade fair in its cabinet report and thus provided the HOGA with further planning security: “The leading international trade fair location Bavaria can start again: The pilot fair TrendSet was successfully carried out (…). The framework hygiene concept has proven its worth. This allows from 1. August 2021 the trade fair operation will resume. This is an important signal for the export-oriented Bavarian economy.
The HOGA trade fair for hotels, gastronomy and communal catering will take place from 17th to 19th October at the Nuremberg Trade Fair.
Start-up competition for HOGA 2021: Deadline for participation extended!
Start-ups who want to enrich the hospitality industry with their ideas can still register until the 10th September for the HOGA start-up competition. The best founders then have the opportunity to register at the HOGA from 17th to 19th October 2021 live in Nuremberg and present their idea to the industry. A marketing budget worth 2,000 euros awaits the winners of the HOGA start-up competition as well as the opportunity to present themselves live at the HOGA in Nuremberg and to make personal contact with restaurateurs, hoteliers, chefs and buyers.
