hanseBAU & Bremen Old Building Days return to MESSE BREMEN in January
Plan the new building, renovate the old building apartment or turn your own four walls into an oasis of well-being – after a one-year forced break, northwest Germany’s largest building exhibition is back again: From Friday to Sunday, 21st to 23rd January 2022, the proven trade fairs hanseBAU & Bremer Altbautage will open their doors again at MESSE BREMEN. Visitors can then take a look at the novelties and trends around building, renovation, expansion, decorating and energy saving in Halls 5, 6 and 7 on 20,000 square meters.

The full range: All trades are represented
“We are pleased to finally be able to start again and offer our visitors the ideal point of contact for almost every topic related to their own home,” says Sven Rapke, project manager of hanseBAU. From real estate or land purchase to interior design, from contemporary sanitary or heating technology to garden design – around 300 exhibitors offer the all-round package for their own four walls at hanseBAU. Anyone who currently wants to reach a craftswoman often has a lot of patience, says Rapke. This is where we come into play. At our fair, all trades and service providers are on site and have one ear free for individual needs.”
Bremen old building days: Focus on heating technology of the future
Independent advice on the topics of sustainable building materials, renewable energies or energy renovation can meanwhile be found in Hall 7 at the Bremen Old Building Days – organized by the non-profit climate protection agency energiekonsens. Experts present a selection of innovative and energy-saving heating technologies at the planned special show “Heating technology with a future”. If you are planning a new building or renovation project today, you should think carefully about how climate-friendly the heating system is with regard to climate neutrality in 2045, says Heinfried Becker from energiekonsens. Many new technologies, for example heat pumps, are already on the market, tried and tested ones are improved and sometimes also ‘washed green’ – orientation is often not easy.
Extensive lecture program and special areas
Or can it be a new fireplace? Whether pellet heaters, fireplaces or stoves – the special area “Heating with wood” gives a good overview. In addition, an extensive supporting program with around 100 lectures as well as practical construction demonstrations are on the agenda. If you like, you can visit the Tiny Village and take a closer look at the well thought-out mini-houses. Last but not least, various experts in the field of “living design” come up with individually manufactured furniture and also give suggestions for floor and wall coverings.
The hanseBAU & Bremer Altbautage take place from Friday to Sunday, 21st to 23rd January 2022, at MESSE BREMEN and are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The day ticket costs 10 euros online.
