Inspire guests with fresh ideas


The guests and customers of the restaurants, hotels and commercial kitchens in northern Germany can look forward to many fresh ideas from their professional hosts. In recent months, the industry has developed new concepts and offers that will take place from the 13th to the 15th February 2022 at Messe Bremen will be the focus of the “GASTRO IVENT”. “The exhibitor registrations reflect a widespread spirit of optimism in the scene,” reports Marta Pasierbek, project manager for the popular meeting place of innkeepers, hoteliers and chefs from Bremen and Lower Saxony. The trade fair is already being organized for the fifth time parallel to fish international – the most important meeting place for the fishing industry in Germany. In 2020, around 10,000 trade visitors came to this special fair.

GASTRO IVENT offers all the needs for the gastro business. With a compact variety in two halls, the trade visitor will find a selection of premium food and drinks as well as innovative convenience products, furnishings and technology, hardware and software as well as networking and consulting. In addition to numerous well-known national manufacturers and dealers, such as B. Rational and ille, Beckröge, Ahlers and Bier Harlos, the big beverage publishers from northern Germany are once again influential at GASTRO IVENT. The large full-range retailers Recker Feinkost and Prima Food as well as many wholesalers and producers of high-quality food are also present from the food sector. “Our long-standing partners thus underline the importance of this industry meeting, especially after the long forced break for the gastro scene,” emphasizes Claudia Nötzelmann, who is responsible for trade fairs at Messe Bremen.


Once again, GASTRO IVENT gives an overview of all relevant areas such as cooking and kitchen technology, equipment, POS systems, hygiene and service. New is the “Start-up Avenue” with selected founders from Bremen and the surrounding area. In addition, they will present their business idea and products in a pitch event organized in cooperation with Bremen Startups.


As in previous years, the topic of coffee has a high priority in the GASTRO IVENT program. Several roasters and manufacturers of coffee machines as well as attractive courses on high-quality coffee preparations complete the offer. On the regional area “Nordland”, Messe Bremen shows the performance of small companies in northwestern Germany’s food and beverage production. Numerous manufacturers will present their products such as ice cream, jams, spirits and soft drinks there. With ingenuity and a lot of commitment, the restaurants and community caregivers have also mastered the past forced break. The exchange of new ideas and concepts and the opportunity to benefit from the experiences of others significantly shapes GASTRO IVENT. The topics of conversation also include megatrends such as the growing demand for vegan offers on the menu. There is also information and discussions on formative everyday topics such as pricing, labor law and digitization.


Visitors to GASTRO IVENT will receive further suggestions for their own restaurant, hotel or commercial kitchen at fish international in the neighboring exhibition hall. For 30 years now, this trade fair has been the meeting place for the fishing industry from all over Germany and neighboring European countries. This combination has proven itself every time because it offers a perfect complement to the content of exhibitors and visitors to both trade fairs, emphasizes division manager Claudia Nötzelmann.





Founded in 2014, GASTRO IVENT is the industry meeting place for northwest Germany. It offers impulses and solutions for the hotel industry, gastronomy and communal catering. The exhibition spectrum ranges from often artisanal food, drinks and convenience products to a variety of technical aids to furniture and accessories. Initially housed in a hall, exhibitors from Germany and neighboring countries now occupy around 9,000 square meters in two halls. The GASTRO IVENT will take place in 2022 under 2G conditions.
