Prospective exhibitors need to be quick: Registrations for GaLaBau 2022 (Nuremberg, 14-17 September 2022) close on 15 December. Numbers to date are promising, as 80 percent of the exhibition area has already been booked. Visitors are also lining up at the starting blocks. Dazzling prospects, in other words, for the green “family gathering” at GaLaBau, the leading international trade fair for the planning, construction and maintenance of urban green and open spaces, sports fields, golf courses and playground design. The honorary sponsor and founder of GaLaBau is the Federal Association of Horticulture, Landscaping and Sports Facilities (Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau, BGL), with NürnbergMesse as organizer.

“We are overwhelmed by the huge level of support from the sector,” comments Stefan Dittrich, Director GaLaBau at NürnbergMesse. “Everyone can hardly wait to experience GaLaBau in person once again. This emphasises once again just how important it is as the central meeting place for the green sector and an absolute must for every calendar. Even before the official registration period began, we were receiving lots of enquiries about when it was finally going to happen. Now, 80 percent of the exhibition area is booked, and everyone is really happy. We are very pleased to have our exhibition halls bustling with life once again.”
Highlights of GaLaBau 2022
Inspiration, networking and experience are at the forefront of the world’s only trade fair that covers the whole range of products and services for the planning, construction and maintenance of urban green and open spaces, from plant life to machines. Complementing the wide range of products and the many innovations on show, the GaLaBau businesses, landscape architects, planners, motorists and municipal authorities can enjoy an extensive supporting programme with fascinating demonstration areas, special shows and presentations, all of which give GaLaBau its popular “experience” aspect. Again in 2022, GaLaBau will provide the best overview of innovations and trends. “The partly drastic consequences of climate change have long been a reality. The green sector is showing a strong level of commitment in this regard, making an active contribution in many areas of landscape gardening,” Dittrich continues. “The forthcoming GaLaBau will be specially dedicated to this topic, with the working title of Climate Protection Challenge.”
Visitors also full of anticipation
“The order situation in the landscaping sector remains stable – this is shown not least by our current autumn business survey. Despite the material bottlenecks, price increases and not least the fourth Corona wave, our companies remain optimistic. And we are already looking forward to the big industry meeting at the GaLaBau 2022 trade fair, with innovations, trends and solutions on the subject of climate change”, comments Lutze von Wurmb, President of BGL.
Gerhard Biedenbacher, managing director of Gustav Biedenbacher Garten- und Landschaftsbau GmbH and a long-standing visitor to GaLaBau, can only agree: “GaLaBau has long been in the calendar as an absolute must for our whole 120-strong company. For the past two years we have really missed the opportunity to learn about new products and interact with the sector. So we can hardly wait to explore the exhibition halls at GaLaBau once again in September 2022.”
