Tension and thrill await visitors to the RETRO CLASSICS BAVARIA® 2021 in Nuremberg (3rd to 5th December): The wide-ranging, top-class offer of the live auction of Classicbid includes classic cars, youngtimers, sports cars, noble watches, Automobilia and precious collectibles.
Finally “live” again: Classicbid auction promises thrills and bidding battles / Vehicles and Automobilia will be auctioned
When Classicbid’s auctioneers let the hammer rush onto the desk, an almost physically noticeable tension regularly dissolves among the spectators. Anyone who has missed hot bidding battles and thrills “live” in recent corona months can now look forward to a new edition of the popular auction: At the RETRO CLASSICS BAVARIA® (3rd to 5th December) it says again “for the first, for the second… and for the third!” A total of 35 classic vehicles as well as all kinds of rare and high-quality Automobilia will be auctioned – i.e. a lot of valuable collectibles on the big topic of mobility (Saturday, 4th December, 3 p.m., Hall 4).
After the long thirsty period, we are pleased about the possibility of a live auction at RETRO CLASSICS BAVARIA®, says Rainer Hahn from the organizing Auktion & Markt AG. We have succeeded in putting together a colorful, balanced and interesting portfolio that has something for every taste and budget – whether entry-level price or high-price segment. We definitely expect an exciting event with good audience support.”
The range of products ranges from well-groomed oldies to PS-strong US icons to noble youngtimer sports cars in a timeless design. In addition, historic car parts, Grand Prix accessories, a Bugatti Chiron children’s car with “real” engine sound and valuable watches are for auction – such as the prototype “40 years world champion Walter Röhrl” from the Offenbach brand Hacher.
Among the vehicles are true treasures: An automotive contemporary witness from the economic miracle year 1957 is the “pretzel beetle” VW 1200 with typical oval window and in the original color “horizon blue”. The “Ovali” as the model is also called, had only three holders in its 64 years and was used practically continuously – workmanship from Wolfsburg, appreciated worldwide. By 2003, over 21 million copies rolled off the production line.
The 308 hp California supercar Cheetah brought it to just 28 pieces. The bright red racer from 1965 presented in Nuremberg bears the serial number 26. The MG F 1.8 VVC Silverstone in classic British Racing Green (2000) also has a high rarity value: The in-line four-cylinder limited to a number of 100 vehicles was delivered exclusively in Switzerland – a pretty, modern roadster with a great driving pleasure factor!
