Full halls, great atmosphere, satisfied exhibitors. Nothing can replace a presence fair,” is the concise conclusion of Georg Knauer, project manager of the trade fair duo Blechexpo/Schweisstec. 953 exhibitors from Germany, Italy, Austria, Turkey, Switzerland and the Benelux showed top technology of sheet metal and metal processing in nine halls on 108,000 square meters. What rank and name has in the industry was present at this trade fair highlight in Stuttgart.

The success after the fair is certain!

“Finally, we can celebrate another trade fair,” said Christian Ludwig from Meusburger Georg GmbH & Co KG in Wolfurt, Austria. The company participated in Blechexpo/Schweisstec for the tenth time this year. Blechexpo is a very important leading trade fair for us. We finally have the opportunity to show our exhibits to our customers again. We have great, high-quality conversations here, and the success after the fair is certain.”

Mathias Bihler, Managing Director of Otto Bihler Maschinenbau, also expressed “very happy” and certified its outstanding importance to the specialist event. Blechexpo is an industry meeting place among the world players in the metalworking industry. Ideas and strategies for the future are exchanged here. Through presence contact with customers, Bihler further confirms, Blechexpo/Schweisstec is the highlight for suppliers and machine manufacturers.

Customers want to see and experience products

“It feels good to be here,” said Ralf Vetter from Rehm Schweißtechnik in Uhingen. The nice thing is that we not only present our products virtually, but we can also show them to customers. They want to experience the products and touch the products.” We have the opportunity to have great customer conversations here.” He emphatically emphasized the advantages of combining Blechexpo with Schweisstec: “We have exactly the audience at the fair we want to see here – our potential customers”.

Bettina Schall, Managing Director of the trade fair organizer P. E. Schall GmbH, thanks all trade visitors and exhibitors for their active participation. Even if Blechexpo/Schweisstec was not affected by a forced break due to its two-year cycle, we all had to accept certain restrictions due to the situation. They all contributed to ensuring that the given framework conditions were met and that personal exchange at a face-to-face fair was possible. I would like to thank you all for this, including the initiators of the top-class supporting events “Blechexpo Award” and “Blechexpo Stahl Convent”.

Presence fairs are indispensable

The great need for personal expert exchange was already evident in the first hour of the first day of the fair. From the beginning, large, concrete visitor interest and high visitor quality – this was certified by many exhibitors. All participants had longed for this real trade fair autumn 2021 and showed an intensive need for information for their respective tasks in sheet metal processing. Exhibitors and trade visitors traditionally benefit from the strictly practice-oriented trade fair concept and the synergy effects of the trade fair duo.

Every two years, Blechexpo/Schweisstec shows all topics related to thermal and mechanical sheet metal processing, cutting technologies, processing machines, systems for punching, bending, folding and forming as well as plant peripherals with controls and software and finally solutions for handling and quality assurance. It is proven to be a trade fair with a working character that depicts complete process chains of sheet metal and metal processing. With its top technologies, it is an impressive reflection of the performance of this industry. Everyone is looking forward to the next fair: The 16th Blechexpo – International Trade Fair for Sheet Metal Processing – will take place together with the 9th Schweisstec – International Trade Fair for Joining Technology – will take place from 07. to 10.11.2023 in Stuttgart.
