【DE】ReiseLust, FISCH&FEINES (incl. CRAFT BEER EVENT) and CARAVAN Bremen start at the weekend

From Friday to Sunday, 5th to 7th November 2021, all exhibition halls and part of the outdoor area are occupied by events that awaken the spirits of life in many ways: the gourmet fair FISCH&FEINES (in addition to CRAFT BEER EVENT), the holiday fair ReiseLust and the CARAVAN Bremen.

FISH&FINES: There is a lot to try here

“At FISCH&FEINES, visitors will find sustainably and predominantly handcrafted products with a strong regional reference in the ÖVB Arena and in Halls 2 and 3,” says Claudia Nötzelmann, Head of Trade Fairs at MESSE BREMEN. The most important difference to other trade fairs for connoisseurs is that “all products have undergone a strict quality inspection in advance”.

Hans Joachim Kunkel from “Die Räucherei” from Klein Meckelsen is there for the seventh time. He especially likes “the curiosity and open-mindedness of the audience” and he is pleased that his exquisite smoked fish specialties are always so well received. No wonder, after all, the fish Kunkel processes are all from sustainable sources and mostly certified organic. And we present a new creative smoked fish delicateness almost every year! according to the studied agricultural economist. Another secret of success: the special smoking technique. Not all substances that are in the smoke would then also like to be found in the fish. We therefore filter pollutants, such as tar, ash and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons considered carcinogenic from the smoke and smoke our fish in “clean” smoke, so to speak,” Kunkel explains the process he has been using since 1997.

Of course, the program of FISCH&FEINES also includes the CRAFT BEER EVENT in Hall 3, for which there are extended opening hours until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and a discounted ticket.

ReiseLust: Just let it drift

If you want to really get in the mood again after weeks and months of “travel abstinence”, the ReiseLust is the right place for you. “For many of our visitors, it’s like a holiday to just let yourself drift through the hall without a fixed goal and absorb the many holiday inspirations,” says Kerstin Renken, Head of Public Fairs at MESSE BREMEN. In line with this, “just let it drift” has also become a real travel trend. Instead of staying rooted in one place, more and more people appreciate the opportunity to cycle, hike, drive – or even sail from one place to the next. Houseboats are very trendy. “Eight people easily fit on such a houseboat – you can “hire” as an extended family or circle of friends and spend a few optionally decelerated or action-packed days on the water,” says Birthe Witte,

Project Manager Travel & Tourism at ADAC Weser-Ems. According to Witte zu Hauf, there are great areas: “In Germany, we have over 700 kilometers of navigable waterways, for example in Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Hesse,

Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Saxony-Anhalt. But the Netherlands is also perfect with its many canals and pretty towns. Perfect houseboat areas are also the Masurian Lake District in Poland or the Shannon in Ireland. If you want it warmer guaranteed, use the Canal du Midi in southern France.” Incidentally, anyone who has taken a briefing of about three hours – and dares to drive such a large boat is allowed to drive.

CARAVAN Bremen: On the road with a “home” feeling

Camping is an absolute megatrend, not least thanks to social media – and the corona pandemic has further promoted this development. The market for mobile housing is booming and the Syker company “Cultmobil”, for example, also benefits from this. Based on the popular bulli models T6 or T6.1, the team around the Otersen family builds top-equipped campers that can be used in professional life as well as in everyday life and on vacation trips. Our vehicles are individually adapted to the respective customer requirements. In addition, we have a very large selection of accessories, decors, fabrics and floor coverings. Every customer gets his individual cult mobile and many also like to use the offer to have their camper foiled individually, says company founder Sven Otersen and explains further: “The expansion time varies depending on the equipment. Under normal conditions, i.e. when all materials are on site, we need about four weeks. At the moment, however, we are struggling with delivery difficulties. For example, we waited an incredible nine months for awnings.”

In addition to the van extensions, Cultmobil offers a folding caravan with double use and – brand new – a bike camper. The latter can be supplemented with a roof tent and of course also individually configured. The bike camper will be presented for the first time at CARAVAN Bremen. “We tinker until we have the best possible solution and prefer to drive off immediately with the respective vehicle ourselves,” says Sven Otersen.

This year’s trade fair trio will take place under 2G conditions. This means that only recovered and vaccinated visitors have access, or tested persons who are not allowed to receive vaccination (certified by a doctor). This eliminates the mask requirement. However, registration is still necessary, which is why it is advisable in many ways to buy the ticket in advance online at www.messe-trio.de.
