On the 29th March, the second pro.vention Special will take place in the CongressCenter of Messe Erfurt. With a focus on health care and gastronomy, paths through and from the pandemic are presented and discussed. The event with accompanying trade exhibition provides first-hand information.


The pro.vention Special with specialist lectures, best practice examples, panel discussion and accompanying trade exhibition, offers interest groups in the field of infection protection a suitable platform for intensive exchange. The for the 29th March planned event of the series is dedicated to the healthcare, gastronomy and hotel industry sectors and enables the dialogue of the stakeholders concerned. It follows on from the first event in November 2021, which focused on reducing the viral load in educational and public institutions.


Especially in health care, such as nursing homes or hospitals, personnel are facing challenges that would have been unthinkable almost two years ago. In order to prevent the pandemic, it requires the use of wide-ranging strategies to reduce the spread of the virus in spatial accommodation for residents or patients as well as for nursing staff or even to prevent the occurrence in the facility. That’s why the second pro.vention special series of events is dedicated to these institutions, says Michael Kynast, Managing Director of Messe Erfurt GmbH. Speakers will present preventive alternatives in order to keep the risk of infection among people in need of care and employees as low as possible. In addition to infection protection, maintaining the quality of life is of great importance. The basis for this are practical implementation possibilities and corresponding financing concepts.


Gastronomy also offers quality of life and is of great social importance for society. However, informal meetings are currently more difficult to implement and therefore rare due to existing contact restrictions and restrictive hygiene regulations. Restaurateurs and hoteliers go through difficult times. Whether this is necessary for a long-term hauft and which technical and organizational measures could enable continuous operation will be discussed in the context of the second pro.vention Special. “A dispute about the access regulation 2G+ and shortened opening hours in restaurants, bars and hotels is sparking in the media. Many gastronomy operators fear for their existence. We want to offer a podium for exchange, because restaurateurs have made high investments in anti-corona measures so that they can continue to open their business, says Carolin Beier, project manager of the pro.vetion Special in Erfurt.


The event partner of the pro.vention Special is the General Ventilation Technology Association in the VDMA, which supports the series of events in the conception and implementation as an ideal carrier.


The symposium with accompanying exhibition will take place on the 29th. March 2022 in hybrid form in the CongressCenter of Messe Erfurt.


The second trade fair and conference for preventive corona protection measures pro.vention 2022 will take place at the end of the conference series from 6th to 7th September and bring together the actors of the individual specials.
