【DE】ISM and ProSweets Cologne 2022: Trade fair duo is well equipped for the restart

Safe trade fair experience through proven hygiene concept #B-SAFE4business

In two weeks, the trade fair double ISM and ProSweets Cologne will start again at the Cologne exhibition center after a two-year pandemic-related break. As leading international industry events for the confectionery and snack industry, both events are indispensable dates for all relevant market participants, because only here can the entire value chain from current trends and product innovations to packaging solutions, production technologies and the latest ingredients and raw materials be experienced. The proven hygiene concept #B-Safe4Business and the 3-G concept CH3CK, which optimally regulate access within the framework of Covid for all trade fair participants, ensure the comprehensive safety of all trade fair participants. The new Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, valid from the 13th January to 9. February, also includes some significant innovations for the trade fair business and continues to allow trade fairs such as ISM and ProSweets Cologne. Both trade fairs will take place from the 30th. January to 2. February 2022 and are exclusively accessible to the international professional audience.

Both trade fairs thrive on diversity. The popularity of a large number of national and international companies to both trade fairs makes us very optimistic that we will succeed in restarting. Of course, personal contact is at the heart of every trade fair. In order for ISM and ProSweets Cologne to become a successful and safe trade fair experience for all trade fair participants, we take into account all conceivable parameters and measures with our proven safety and hygiene concept #B-SAFE4business and regularly coordinate with the responsible authorities. The safety and health of our exhibiting companies, the trade audience and also our own employees has the highest priority, emphasizes Oliver Frese, Managing Director of Koelnmesse GmbH.

The current Corona Protection Ordinance of the state of NRW offers a good framework, which allows access to both trade fairs with an official identity document (with photo, name and date of birth) with the 3G rule for vaccinated, tested and recovered persons. As a further part of the concept, ISM and ProSweets Cologne offer exclusively digital tickets to exhibiting companies, visitors, service providers and media. Access to the exhibition center is via “CH3CK”, an already proven access system that practically connects the 3G proof with the digital ticket via app and thus enables fluent entry into the site. Masks are mandatory throughout the exhibition center, in consultations at the booth and in queues on the premises as well as outdoors. For tasting and seating in gastronomy, the mouthguard may be removed.

Other measures also include disinfectant dispensers at all important points of the site, the regular cleaning and disinfection of sanitary facilities and other contact surfaces as well as the use of modern ventilation systems. The trade fair gastronomy will also continue to be opened to all trade fair participants under 3G conditions. This also applies to non-tourist overnight stays that are possible under 3G conditions. Persons without immunization need a valid test for this. The 2G+ rules apply to restaurant visits to the city, whereby people with a booster vaccination do not need an additional test.

In principle, exhibiting companies as well as trade visitors from trade fairs from abroad can enter Germany. Further information: https://www.auma.de/de/ausstellen/recht/einreisebestimmungen
