The anniversary edition of VSK, the trade fair for the installation sector, is moving to 17 to 20 May 2022. The Jaarbeurs has decided this in close consultation with the sector. At the moment there are too many uncertainties for exhibitors and visitors about the duration of the corona measures by the central government and their impact on the fair. The fair was actually supposed to take place from 8 to 11 February.
Albert Arp, CEO of the Koninklijke Jaarbeurs: “We have had a lot of consultation with the industry and the outcome is that we are deferring the VSK for a few months. This sector plays an incredibly important role in the energy transition, so the need to see and speak to each other is very great. We are confident that we will be able to do that in May without any pressure.”
The sector itself is strongly in favor of shifting. Remi Hompe, director of Indoor Climate Netherlands: “Indoor Climate Netherlands is pleased with the decision to postpone the VSK to May. Just like our partners, Indoor Climate Netherlands attach great importance to the health and safety of exhibitors and visitors, but we also paid attention to the quantity and quality of the exhibition visit. By postponing the fair, we will work together with the VSK organisation, participants and industry partners on a safe and successful fair in May!”
“As NVKL, we naturally wanted nothing more than to inspire the industry and boost sustainability,” said Coen van de Sande, director of the NVKL. “As a trade association for refrigeration and air treatment, we want to be able to present ourselves well at the VSK as a knowledge and meeting center. We are therefore very pleased with moving the 25th edition of the VSK to May 2022.”
And Henk Sybring, chairman of the Dutch heating industry: “Corona presented us all with a serious dilemma. As partners, we consulted very constructively. It is fantastic that the Jaarbeurs has found this solution. The VSK trade fair is a highlight for the industry, the new date in May will certainly contribute to an extra successful edition.”
“OUR FUTURE, YOUR WORLD”
Joyce van de Hoef of the exhibition organization is looking forward with confidence to the upcoming edition in May: “There are many developments and great initiatives within the installation sector and we naturally want to show them well at the VSK. The industry has a great need to meet and inspire each other live again. In May we certainly have more guarantee that we can organize another very nice edition of the VSK together. In any case, we cannot wait.”
The Jaarbeurs checks for each fair or event, in close consultation with the government, whether the meeting can take place safely. More information about what the Jaarbeurs does in this area can be found at www.jaarbeurs.nl/veilig.
