Two years of pandemic and the war in Ukraine put a lasting strain on the growth-oriented global economy. So far, globalization has been a guarantee of internationally increasing prosperity, but borders were already closed and supply chains interrupted during the pandemic. With the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis was added. The exhibitors of HANNOVER MESSE will discuss with representatives from politics, business and science from the 30th. May to 2. June in Hanover.

 

Hanover. With a total of more than 600 lectures and panel discussions, HANNOVER MESSE is a unique knowledge platform. On different stages, companies present the strategies and solutions with which they respond to the challenges of the turn of the century.

 

The mainstage in the H’Up focuses on sustainability, climate protection and green hydrogen. On the first day of the fair, the energy experts from Bosch, Siemens and Nea Green will discuss the importance of green hydrogen as a strategic building block for energy diversification. On the second day of the fair, the 3rd Lightweighting Summit of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) at the center of attention. Under the patronage of Federal Minister of Economics Dr. Robert Habeck, he sets clear accents in terms of climate protection, resource efficiency and resilience. In view of the global political situation, the topics are more relevant than ever before.

 

The Industry 4.0 stage in Hall 8 is about technological solutions and topics such as digital twin, B2B platform economy, interoperability, additive manufacturing, predictive maintenance or cyber security. New is the topic of Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS), in which the production of goods is offered as a service. MaaS enables new business models, but also an increase in resilience, transparency, sustainability and flexibility of supply chains. These advantages are manifested for the automotive industry in the major Catena-X project. MaaS is an important use case there, which is based on the open architectural approach of the Smart Factory Web and explores and implements a MaaS service landscape.

 

On the 2nd In June, the international MES conference will take place on the Industry 4.0 stage. It deals with the question of how production can be made more sustainable and at the same time more economical. The conference will highlight the role MES can play as an enabler of Industry 4.0 and sustainability.

 

This year, the Energy 4.0 stage receives special attention. It is about trends in an energy-intelligent, climate-friendly and sustainable future. Top-class experts discuss how we create the energy transition, use resources more sustainably and radically reduce CO2 emissions.
