Back to normality: The two trade fairs/ will take place in Dortmund on May 18th and 19th, 2022 according to this motto. Visitors can look forward to an exciting overview of trends in the packaging and logistics sectors. More than 130 exhibitors show their innovations and are available for expert discussions. The supporting program will also provide valuable suggestions for optimizing the “packaging, storage, order picking, dispatch” value chain.
It is actually the first trade fair for the intralogistics industry in two years. The exchange within the community is now all the more important. The “double pack” of EMPACK and Logistics & Distribution therefore comes at the right time and will give visitors the long-missed inspiration. Because the more than 130 exhibitors include highly innovative and market-leading companies such as AI-Robotic, AISCI Ident, BITO-Lagertechnik, Bluhm Systems, Clark, Linde Material Handling, Papier Sprick, Schur Star Systems, Still and Swisslog. Project manager Maria Soloveva: “We are delighted that so many well-known companies use the trade fairs as a platform. However, we recommend that visitors also drop by exhibitors they do not know yet – for example innovative start-ups such as ForkOn and Nimmsta.”
The highlights of the supporting program
Participation in the supporting program should also be worthwhile in any case, especially since both trade fairs address highly topical issues. Maria Soloveva: “At EMPACK, the focus is on sustainability. For example, the Efficiency Agency of North Rhine-Westphalia is curating a panel discussion on evaluation criteria for sustainable packaging – opinions are very controversial here.” The presentations by exhibitors (such as Knüppel Verpackungen and Rajapack) are also dedicated to the topics of sustainability and economy of packaging.
The supporting program of Logistics & Distribution focuses on the automation and digitization of logistics processes. Topics include “Big Data” and process optimization with the help of artificial intelligence. A highlight is certainly the impulse lecture followed by a panel discussion, organized by the University of Duisburg-Essen and moderated by Prof. Dr. Bernd Noche on the subject of “new solutions in intralogistics”.
The supporting program of Logistics & Distribution is supplemented by the popular Guided Tours (moderated by the University of Duisburg-Essen) on the topics: “Digitization and IT in intralogistics – warehouse management systems” and “Automated and modern warehouse technology solutions in intralogistics”.
One easy participation for two trade fairs
All in all, the trade fair organizers have put together an attractive overall programme. Maria Soloveva: “The exhibitors and partners from universities and institutes gave us excellent support. Our impression is that the industry is looking forward to the intensive exchange. These are the best prerequisites for a successful trade fair duo.” As with previous trade fairs, the “Easy Entry” concept applies: Admission is free of charge, registration is required. The ticket can be requested free of charge on the trade fair websites (code: 2500) at: www.empack-dort-mund.de and www.intralogistik-dortmund.de
