On the 2nd July 2022, the Spanish artist Maider López invites you to an artistic performance in Chemnitz city center, which will begin and end in Brückenstraße. Under the title “Moving Garden” people are to come together to create a “moving garden” together.
In a collective art action, we walk with our plants about 1.5 km through Chemnitz city center. The Chemnitzers become part of this special garden, where man and nature move through the city together. The artistic action brings people, the environment and sustainability together. Everyone is part of this common garden, which runs like a green ribbon through Chemnitz city and transforms it into a living biotope. We all together keep the garden in constant motion and bring movement to the city.
“Moving Garden” will take place on Saturday, the 2nd. July 2022, at 7:00 p.m. in Brückenstraße. The event ends around 8:30 p.m. The plants are provided. After the event, the participants are welcome to take their plant home with them. Thus, the communal spirit of the “Moving Garden” lives on in the home living room as a flourishing symbol of Chemnitz 2025.
