The second issue of the magazine polisMOBILITY is entitled “Tomorrow – How do we want to shape the future?” available. On more than 90 pages you will find interviews, features and guest contributions with international experts from different disciplines and the common goal of finding answers to the pressing questions of urban and regional mobility.
polisMOBILITY will take place from the 18th to the 21st. May at the Cologne exhibition center and in the city of Cologne. Already in the run-up to the trade fair & conference, polisMOBILITY is dedicated to the aspects of urban mobility with a magazine – both online and in print.
In the current issue, Prof. Johannes Schlaich from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences focuses on the topic “Tempo 30 in inner cities” in his guest article. Prof. Marco te Brömmelstroet from the Urban Cycling Institute at the University of Amsterdam; Martha Wanat and Prof. Stephan A. Jansen from the Mobility Consultancy MOND explain why it is important for the mobility turnaround to get from the abstract to the concrete; Prof. Nicolas Hautière from the Université Gustave Eiffel outlines the streets of the fifth generation; mobility expert Katja Schechtner, visiting scholar at MIT Boston, makes it clear that mobility is by no means available as a one-size-fits-all solution and Dr. Ludwig Fazel, Global Head of Strategy of the Volkswagen Technology Group & Global Head of Platform Business at the Volkswagen Group, explains the company’s own path to an all-electric future.
Mobility has a fundamental impact on the design of our cities, our society and our personal everyday life. Therefore, it is a task for society as a whole to set it up in such a way that it becomes as effective in the best possible way in the sense of a future worth living. For this reason, Koelnmesse, in cooperation with the publisher Müller + Busmann/polis Convention, has set itself the goal of meeting all relevant actors across industries and sectors from the 18th to the 21st. May at the polisMOBILITY in Cologne to bring together into dialogue on challenges and solutions of the mobility turnaround.
