New organizational partner withdraws, which leaves the future of IMS and light&sound open.

Dear exhibitors of IMS and light&sound

Due to the spread of the coronavirus, we had to postpone the holding of the IMS and light&sound first to autumn 2021 and then by another year to September 2022. After all, you were very much affected by the restrictions from the event and event technology. But the official regulations at Messe Luzern were also serious and led to personnel and structural changes.

For this reason, Messe Luzern decided at the end of 2021 to bring an organizational partner for IMS and light&sound on board. This with the agreement to continue the fairs with the same concept, supporting program and location in Lucerne. We were convinced that with the forward-looking concept and the change of organization, we created a basis for a successful holding of IMS and light&sound in September 2022.

Before all exhibitors were contacted by the new organizer, those responsible again examined an implementation in autumn 2022 and came to the conclusion that due to the current and still difficult starting situation in the event industry, IMS and light&sound cannot take place next autumn. We can understand this decision. However, we very much regret that our partner is now completely withdrawing from the project and that our further developments for the two trade fairs are not being implemented. Whether there is another chance for this in the market is currently uncertain.

We cannot currently make a binding statement about how IMS and light&sound will continue. However, we will of course keep you informed.

Thank you for your understanding and kind regards

Messe Luzern AG
