From 13th to 16th October, PHOTOPIA Hamburg opens its doors for the second time and gives numerous exhibiting companies, creative professionals, content creators and people with a passion for photography and video filming a platform for exchange and inspiration. As part of this live event, the Creative Content Conference @ PHOTOPIA 2022 (14th to 16th October) a top-class and exciting program for everyone who deals professionally with content creation, photography and video. The conference is organized in cooperation with leading partners from the photo scene and supported by Canon, Adobe, Fujifilm, Leica, Nikon, Sony, Tamron and WhiteWall, among others.
Under the maxim “From practice, for practice”, there will be three days of concentrated imaging knowledge at the Creative Content Conference @ PHOTOPIA on the grounds of the Hamburg Messe und Congress – including exciting lectures by well-known photographers, valuable business insights and live panels on current topics that move the scene of professional photo and video makers.
New: Main topics provide insights
This year, each conference day will be placed under a thematic focus: “Wedding & Portrait” on Friday, “Editorial & Documentary” on Saturday and “Commercial & Lifestyle” on Sunday.
The program on Friday is mainly aimed at wedding and portrait photographers. Under the patronage of the Association of Professional Portrait Photographers (bpp), the professional initiative for professional portrait & people photography, participants receive inspiration for their own photography business in addition to best practice stories from successful professionals such as Julia & Gil as well as Kerstin and Paul Rockstein. The bpp industry talk shows where portrait and wedding photography is developing and which image trends inspire customers in the future.
On Saturday, experienced photojournalists and documentary photographers, including KseniaKuleshova, Philipp Reinhard, David Klammer and Marvin Ronsdorf, will provide exciting insights into their work. Software specialist Adobe shows how image manipulations and deep fakes can be exposed using artificial intelligence. The topic “NFT – Hype or Hope?”, which shows new business models for particularly artistic photographers, is also on the agenda. In the second half of the day, a panel discussion, moderated by theFemalePhotoClub, is about parenthood and independence in professional photography.
Sunday is finally all about commercial and lifestyle advertising photography. In addition to internationally successful fashion and advertising photographers such as Joachim Baldauf, Richard Walch, Bob Sala and Christian von Alvensleben, there will be various panel talks on current topics and trends in commercial contract photography. The program is under the patronage of the Berufsverband Freie Fotografen und Filmgestalter e. V. (BFF e. V.) and is actively co-designed by the BFF Academy.

Subsequently, the regular participation fee of the Creative Content Conference @ PHOTOPIA 2022 is 199 € for all three conference days, day tickets are already available for 89 €. Admission to PHOTOPIA at the price of 25 € for a day ticket is included in the conference rate on all booked days.

From 13th to 16th October, PHOTOPIA Hamburg offers the digital imaging industry a new home. The unique event format is a triad of PHOTOPIA Summit, where new products and services can be experienced in an inspiring environment, from PHOTOPIA City with exhibitions and photo walks, and from PHOTOPIA 365, an exclusive community area. Companies are expected with products and services around the trend topic of imaging. Visitors are all whose passion and business is photography and filming. In addition to retailers, influencers, professionals, semi-pros, hobby photographers and photo culture enthusiasts, these are also explicitly smartphone users who use their mobile phone to take, edit and share photos and videos.
