【DE】Delina 2022: The winners have been determined

Innovation Award for Digital Education awarded at LEARNTEC – Award winner exemplary for learning and working environments of the future

 

On the 15th The Innovation Award delina was awarded today as part of LEARNTEC, Europe’s leading trade fair for digital education. The award recognizes forward-looking educational projects and solutions that promote effective learning from kindergarten to continuing vocational training with modern technologies. From twelve nominees, the expert jury named the virtual learning platform Festo LX, which can be used to design personalized learning paths, as well as any cubes, building blocks that enable younger children to experience artificial intelligence (AI) as the winners. Also successful were the micro-learning app Ada, which is aimed specifically at women in daily short trainings, as well as the variable exercise and feedback platform SYLVA, whose algorithm can also evaluate answers to open questions.

 

The Innovation Award for Digital Education is awarded in cooperation with BITKOM e.V. and p-didakt GmbH in the four categories “Early Childhood Education and School”, “University”, “Society and Lifelong Learning” as well as “Training and Further Education”. A 23-member jury of experts from science, business and technology reviews and evaluates the submissions according to a defined evaluation catalog, for example on a well thought-out use of modern technologies, the transferability of the solution, media didactic aspects or data security.

 

René Naumann, jury member and project manager of LEARNTEC, says: “Digital education has experienced a massive boost in the past two years due to the pandemic. The potential of modern tools to make learning material tangible, to convey content sustainably and at the same time to make learners and teachers want new technologies have made clear from this year’s applications and, above all, the four winners. The delina should be a recognition for outstanding achievements in the digital educational landscape, but also encourage you to constantly break new ground in this area.”

 

The winners benefit from the good standing of delina in the industry. For example, SZENARIS was able to receive the Education Award in the category “Training and Further Education” together with the Bundesanstalt Technisches Hilfswerk last year and will be an exhibitor at LEARNTEC this year. The four winners as well as many other exhibitors will present their innovations in digital education until the 2nd. June as part of LEARNTEC in the halls of Messe Karlsruhe.

Festo Didactic SE: Festo LX – Festo Learning Experience

 

The digital learning platform Festo LX is used in training and further education in vocational schools, universities and industrial companies. It is based on multimedia learning nuggets that are put together into individual learning paths. Different formats such as texts, images, animations or videos can be used as well as different learning formats such as eLab, eLearning or evaluations. An integrated authoring tool allows teachers to modify the provided learning content or create new content.

Potsdam University of Applied Sciences: Any-Cubes

 

The Any-Cubes educational toy is intended to bring future technologies such as AI and the Internet of Things to life in educational projects for daycare and primary school. Any cubes are building blocks that communicate with each other via WLAN, with which AI applications can be implemented practically and independently without any programming knowledge, for example an automatic feed dispenser for toy animals or a conveyor belt that only transports red gummy bears. An accompanying didactic concept should make it as easy as possible for teachers and educators to work with innovative teaching formats around the Any cubes.

ADA Power Woman GmbH: Ada – Mentor for the bag

 

The Ada app is aimed in particular at women with its micro-learning offer. In daily two-minute videos of experts from the categories “body language”, “internal attitude”, “voice & language” and “communication & rhetoric”, users receive tips that they can implement directly in professional and private life. Ada should be an alternative to all-day, cost-intensive seminars and workshops, so that women can continue their education and strengthen themselves regardless of time and place.

SYLVA AG / Wolfram Research Inc.: SYLVA

 

The e-assessment platform SYLVA enables the creation of examination or exercises and their automated evaluation – and also for open and interactive tasks. Teachers can easily create question variations for continuous practice and testing. These are evaluated by means of an algorithm that provides reliable evaluations even with handwritten entries or questions with an infinite number of correct answers. A time-consuming manual correction is eliminated, and learners still receive immediate individual feedback.
