Extensive supporting program on all three days of the fair / knowledge transfer from industry and research
LASYS 2022 is just around the corner: from the 21st to the 23rd June 2022, the laser material processing industry will meet in Stuttgart. Exhibitors and visitors can look forward to a face-to-face fair with a high-quality supporting program. In addition, LASYS does not require access restrictions due to the corona pandemic, but still ensures a safe visit to the Stuttgart exhibition center with its hygiene concept “Safe Expo”. LASYS’ location in one of the economically strongest regions in the heart of Europe with optimal connections to the international airport, the motorway and public transport facilitates the journey for the professional audience.

“Our trade visitors can look forward to a diverse and at the same time high-quality program at LASYS,” says Gunnar Mey, Director Fairs & Events at Messe Stuttgart. Thanks to the commitment of our exhibitors and our cooperation with leading industry associations as well as numerous scientific institutions, LASYS is becoming a platform for the exchange of information, experience and practical knowledge. We also promote the networking of research and industry and networking within the industry.”
Stuttgart Laser Days (SLT): The international forum of the laser industry
With contributions from well-known representatives from research and development, the Stuttgart Laser Days offer a competent overview of the latest trends in laser technology. In particular, the SLT also provides an insight into the associated basics with regard to possible new applications. This is supplemented by contributions from industry that document the current state of development and implementation of innovations.
In addition to the SLT, the specialist forum “Lasers in Action” also offers practice-oriented lectures directly in the exhibition hall for three days.
EPIC Meeting on Beam Forming: Technologies and Applications of Diffractive Optics
At the EPIC meeting, the European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC) focuses on laser beam shaping for industrial applications. On Wednesday, 22. June, new concepts in laser beam shaping, various technologies and applications of diffractive optics and special fibers will be presented, as well as new cooperations across the entire value chain will be promoted. Laser manufacturers, system integrators and companies that use lasers in manufacturing and material processing applications are invited to the lectures and the subsequent discussion about new requirements and existing solutions.
More information about the EPIC meeting on beam shaping.
Expert Talks of the blz: Making the laser tool usable
Laser protection, innovative beam shaping or process control in ultrashort-pulp processes: the Expert Talks of the Bavarian Laser Center (blz) offer expert lectures as well as the opportunity for technical discussion. As an innovative and independent research company, the blz helps users to make the laser tool usable for production processes. The daily, one-hour expert talks are free of charge for trade fair visitors.
WLT: Meet the experts: Insights into current research
Exciting insights into current issues and science can also be found at WLT: Meet the Experts. At booth 4D23 in Mahle Hall 4, the experts of the Scientific Society Lasertechnik e.V. (WLT) and share their experiences and knowledge from research and development projects as well as the opportunity for funding and networking.
The 34 members of the WLT are heads of large scientific institutions that are mainly concerned with the generation, reinforcement, shaping, transmission, measurement and application of laser radiation. These are both university institutions and institutes of the Fraunhofer Society, the Max Planck Society, the Leibniz Association, the Helmholtz Association and other non-university institutions.
Solution Center: Valuable suggestions for production processes
Six well-known institutes and research institutions are available to LASYS trade visitors under the motto “Solution Center – Meet the experts” as contact persons for all questions about laser material processing: the Institute for Beam Tools (IFSW), Bayerische Laserzentrum GmbH (blz), the Fraunhofer Institute for Materials and Beam Technology (IWS), the Laser Center Hannover (LZH), the Bremen Institute for Applied Beam Technology GmbH (BIAS) and the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. All research institutions offer the opportunity to discuss with the experts about current and future fields of application of the laser and to gain valuable suggestions for production processes.
