With moving impressions of the trade fairs and congresses, which have already taken place again since the restart in the event business, the Leipziger Messe celebrates on the 1st. June the Global Exhibitions Day 2022. This year’s holiday of the global trade fair industry recognizes the role of exhibitions in accelerating economic recovery.

Global Exhibitions Day is an initiative of the World Association of the Trade Fair Industry (UFI) and will focus on the irreplaceable value of physical exhibitions and personal business events in 2022. As professional platforms, they are essential for economic growth and recovery and offer the perfect opportunity to make new contacts and get to know people.

The GED 2022 also marks the end of the fair month of May. With actions and contributions, the German trade fair industry has shown in this eventful month under the hashtag MesseMonatMai what significance the German trade fair industry has for the entire economy and how important trade fairs and congresses are as places of personal encounter. Throughout May, the Leipziger Messe has also depicted the thematic diversity of trade fair and congress events and the close connection with the city and region on its social media channels. For example, clips were created under the motto “Fair with all senses” that illustrate how important personal encounters are and that they cannot be replaced by a digital exchange. It was about the special trade fair air, the up-close experience of products, the unique soundscape of trade fairs, tasteful impressions and the variety of discoveries at and around trade fairs.

All clips can be found on the social media channels of Leipziger Messe and in the

Youtube playlist.
