Focus: Wildlife rescue
On the forecourt, everything revolves around wildlife rescue. Whether deer, rabbits or meadow breeders, all often lay down their young and clutches in the protective tall grass. This wild nursery often becomes a trap, especially at the beginning of the grassland harvest. Hunters search fields and meadows and thus save wild animals from mowing death. Especially in recent years, a lot has happened in drone technology. Not only the aircraft, but also the camera technology is now able to efficiently support hunting and agriculture. In front of the North entrance, experienced drone pilots show what wildlife rescue with drone looks like and give helpful tips on planning, organization and procedure. The German Wildlife Rescue e. V. is there. At the stand, she explains today’s possibilities of wildlife rescue and advises newly founded young game rescue teams. On Friday at 3:30 p.m., there will also be a lecture on stage in Hall 4.
Social media meeting place HORRIDO with influencers of the scene
Together with the LJV NRW, Outfluence, Hunt on Demand and GearTester, the fair presents influencers, bloggers and brands of the scene at the HORRIDO Social Media Area in Hall 7. In addition, a video premiere of Hunt on Demand will be shown on Friday. GearTester TV is also brand new this year: Here you will find exciting lectures on hunting-relevant and cutting-edge topics as well as product presentations from well-known brands. And on Friday, the 10th June 2022, a big blogger party awaits all visitors from 5:00 p.m. – right after the video premiere – to exchange and get to know each other.
Press planner: Interviews with experts in the industry on cutting-edge hunting topics
All press representatives will also receive a press planner for the first time this year, in which they will find the right interview partner for the wide range of topics of hunting during the duration of the fair. For example, the commissioner for young hunters in the Kreisjägerschaft Steinfurt-Tecklenburg e.V. Lara-Madeleine Hears the cliché “Old gray men with hats?” because she knows how to report: “The hunt is becoming more feminine!” Other cutting-edge topics are, for example: “Hunters don’t have to shoot, but they must be able to shoot!” with Sarah Haselhorst and Rolf Knäpper or “Shared habitat, common solution – wild animals in the city” with Gabi Mackenberg. In addition, Nicole Heitzig, President of the NRW State Hunting Association, will also be available for interviews on the first day of the fair with the topic “Quo vadis Jagd – Jagdpolitik in Deutschland und NRW”. And in keeping with the anniversary of the JAGD & HUND, the press spokesman of Messe Dortmund Robin Uhlenbruch looks together with a long-standing companion of JAGD & HUND, Jochen Borchert, former Federal Minister of Agriculture. D. and honorary president of the German Hunting Association and the State Hunting Association of North Rhine-Westphalia on “40 years of hunting and dog – historical, highlights and backgrounds.”

In the film cinema in Hall 7, those interested in hunting can watch exciting films, take a break from everyday trade fair life, but above all get inspiration for the next hunting trip.
