Discover smart helpers for the household, get comprehensive advice on the energetic renovation of your own home or sit in the latest electric car rehearsal: Here we go again – the Südwest Messe in Villingen-Schwenningen is in the starting blocks! From 11th to 19th June, around 400 exhibitors will present a huge variety of products in 14 halls and in the outdoor area: from building and living to health and fitness to garden, fashion and enjoyment. Everywhere you can touch, try it out, compare and get personal advice directly at the stand. So that visitors can stroll through the fair carefree, it was planned with extra wide corridors and generous distances. A ventilation system ensures constant air exchange. Masks are not mandatory on the premises.
The Südwest Messe will officially open on the 11th. June at 10 a.m. in the forum in Hall Y by Dr. Patrick Rapp, State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism Baden-Württemberg: “After a long dry spell during the pandemic, the joy of restarting the trade fair is very great. The example of the Südwest Messe shows that trade fairs are an effective means of economic recovery, especially in economically difficult times, and help to refill the order books. After all, the personal encounter is the first step out of a crisis, because it provides ideas and promotes innovation.” Jürgen Roth, Lord Mayor of the City of Villingen-Schwenningen, speaks a greeting. All visitors are cordially invited to participate in the opening event.
Shopping mile with comprehensive advice
Whether facade cladding, innovative roller shutters for the round window or the latest trends in smart home – if you want to build or modernize, you will find specialist companies, advice and comparison options at the Südwest Messe. Experts provide information and individual tips on energy-efficient building renovation and explain how, for example, gas-condensing hybrid systems work and what innovations there are in photovoltaic and storage systems. HausBauPark offers inspiration with energy-efficient model houses from 14 providers. Professionals and capable DIYers will find tools and machines, from grout cutters to construction cranes. Electrically operated vehicles are also available for nursery, forestry, road construction and municipalities. Urban mobile and sporty on the same time, you are with a new scooter project – including test track.
The main thing is outside: Garden, balcony and terrace look forward to a spring cure. At the barbecue table or in the grill kota, you can sit together in convivial company. Fences, balcony cladding and stylish privacy screens with Black Forest motifs ensure privacy. In the living room, expressive unique furniture made of reclaimed wood create an individual ambience. Cuckoo clocks in a modern, colorful design are an eye-catcher. Robot vacuum cleaners, practical ironing systems, natural cleaning agents and clever peelers: With the right aids, the household is easy to handle. Particularly sustainable: Grill and baking mats make disposable film superfluous. And when it’s time to put your feet up, you relax wonderfully in the recliner. Ergonomic seating prevents tension and back pain. Must-have for diabetics: Digital glucose meters record blood sugar without stinging.
Super soft leather jackets, noble traditional costume fashion and cool hoodies that were sustainably made of organic cotton: A lot of beautiful shopping surprises await you at the Südwest Messe. Vesper boards, cups and the like with creative Black Forest motifs are ideal for local patriots or as souvenirs from vacation. Direct marketers – including start-ups and young companies – present delicacies from home: venison from local forests, cold-pressed virgin oils, fruity summer gin or freshly roasted coffee. “Of course from home” is also stated in the cooking show of Eberhard Braun – tastings and recipes included. Small trade fair visitors can look forward to Kaspertheater and participatory magic in Kinderland, among other things.
Special shows: Exciting, up-to-date, innovative!
You should not miss the Südwest-Messe special shows: They show everyday life from new perspectives and provide inspiration. Brand new this year is “Our cooperation for your safety”: From the 16th to the 19th June fire brigades and emergency services from the region give up close insight into their demanding operations. Exciting for the whole family are the exhibited emergency ambulances and firefighting group vehicles. The police want to draw attention to current scams with the interactive play “Hello Grandma, I need money.” From customs there is information on travel allowances and species protection. The Blind and Visually Impaired Association Südbaden e. V. shows, among other things, how blind people work on the computer. If you like, you can try out tools such as reading systems or household appliances with voice output. The stand of the city of Villingen-Schwenningen is all about the 50th anniversary of the city. Information and tips, for example on the subject of living in old age or for foreign specialists, can be found from the district office and Wifög.
On a 42-meter-long model railway system, the mini locomotives and their cars rush past fields and forests, small Black Forest villages to the sawmill. It becomes sporty on the mobile boulder wall. The “Wildbakers” show that baking bread can also be sexy: In lectures and workshops to participate, treats such as the “Machobaguette” are created. The African village takes visitors into a fascinating world: Colorful colors, exotic smells and many small treasures make the mini-trip to the African continent a very special experience. In the hut tent there is daily music and a lot of “good things from the Black Forest” with entertainer “Alois”.
