The LINC Leipzig Interventional Course is back at the Leipzig Trade Fair as a face-to-face event. From 6th to 9th June, the world’s most important congress for vascular medicine will take place here, after there was only one online event last year due to pandemic.

The focus of the event is on live broadcasts of operations broadcast from institutions around the globe. This year, more than 40 so-called live cases can be tracked in 16 national and international clinics in the exhibition hall. The audience has the opportunity to ask questions to the specialists on site in real time and to discuss their methods in detail. Camera teams accompany procedures in the Heart Center Leipzig and the University Hospital, among others, as well as in medical centers in Italy, Japan, China, the USA, France, Switzerland and Germany. Up to cinema-quality images, state-of-the-art technology is used in the transmission. In addition to these live cases, the program also includes lectures, discussions and the presentation of the latest research results.

Almost 5,000 participants from more than 80 countries came to LINC 2020. The congress impresses not only with its high internationality, but also with its interior design. In the immediate vicinity of each other, the areas for live cases and sessions, for discussions, for the poster exhibition and the industrial exhibition will be created in Hall 2, creating a kind of modern marketplace.

Conference president is Prof. Dr. Dierk Scheinert, who initiated LINC in 2005 and has headed the Department of Interventional Angiology at Leipzig University Hospital since 2014.
