【DE】Nordstil Forum is back

After a break of two years due to the pandemic, the Nordstil Forum will be held again for the first time at the upcoming summer Nordstil. On all three days of the fair, the lecture area will address topics that are currently of concern to retailers and offer solutions as well as suggestions for one’s own business. The Nordstil Forum is complemented by the Trend Tables, which are located in the immediate vicinity. These are equipped with products from exhibitors and cordially invite retailers to discover the trend highlights of the coming season and to be inspired for their own point of sale design.

Just like last time in 2020, Trend Tables at the upcoming Nordstil will once again show what is currently on vogue.

How is the consumer goods market developing? Which strategies are promising? And how can the selection of assortments and product presentation at the point of sale be optimised? Answers to questions of this kind are provided by the Nordstil Forum in Hall B1.0, which offers visitors the perfect opportunity to deepen their know-how and familiarise themselves with the latest trends in the context of expert lectures, workshops and trend presentations. An insight into the current status of the lecture programme underlines its thematic diversity:

Learning from the big players: Digitisation in retail

Digitisation and e-commerce are among the big buzzwords of the modern consumer goods industry. But how do you build a successful digital strategy when you are still at the very beginning in this respect? The fact is: even big online shopping platforms like Amazon or Zalando started out small. What the retail trade can learn from the big players and which steps are part of a successful digital strategy will be presented in this lecture using best practice examples.

Supply bottlenecks – what now?

The problem of supply bottlenecks affects many companies and retailers. Even at the point of sale, customers can notice that certain goods are not available for a longer period of time – sometimes even quite obviously through empty shelf space. In the lecture on supply bottlenecks, visitors will learn how to sell despite supply bottlenecks and how to deal with customers in this situation.

The shopping behaviour of Generation Z

Discovering a cool product on Instagram and ending up in an online shop with just a few clicks – all this is already reality today. What does Generation Z look for when shopping, what is important to them and how does this fit in with their own business model? Concrete assistance and suggestions on how retailers can respond appropriately to the shopping behaviour of Generation Z and make their business fit for the customers of the future will also be a focus of the Nordstil Forum.

The secrets of digital product photography

There is often more work behind a good product photo than one might realise at first glance. Not only aspects such as lighting conditions, perspective and co. have to be considered, but also for which sales channel the pictures are intended and how they can be edited. The lecture “The secrets of digital product photography” provides participants with important basic knowledge and highlights what is important in modern product photography.

Trend Tables show practical ideas for POS design

Finding out about trends in theory is one thing – experiencing them live and with matching products is what the Trend Tables adjacent to the Nordstil Forum make possible on all three days of the fair. This time the focus is on practical ideas for POS design in the autumn and winter season. Decorated with products from the Nordstil exhibitors, the Trend Tables show what a targeted and contemporary product presentation can look like under the mottoes “Floral variety in autumn” and “Atmospheric Christmas time”. The curator is florist Victoria Salomon. In addition, Salomon will give a daily lecture on the designed tables in the Nordstil Forum and provide practical tips on how retailers can inspire customers with original product presentations.

The full programme of the Nordstil Forum will be published in the event calendar on the Nordstil website in mid-June.

The next Summer Nordstil will take place from 23 to 25 July 2022 and the next Winter Nordstil from 14 to 16 January 2023.
