Founding Advisory Board approves closed for new EUROVINO trade fair
On the 29th June 2022, Messe Karlsruhe invited numerous wine experts to discuss in depth about the possibilities of market support on the subject of wine. Under the technical direction of the long-standing editor-in-chief of the leading wine magazine “Weinwirtschaft”, Dr. Hermann Pilz, advanced the meeting to the founding meeting of an advisory board for a new wine trade fair. The decision was unanimously made in the newly founded advisory board to place a trade fair format at the Karlsruhe location under the name EUROVINO, which is dedicated to the professional world. Dr. Hermann Pilz: “It has been noted for some time that producers of high-quality and innovative wines from the German and European markets lack an independent, focused platform. The idea is to offer producers and marketers from Germany and neighboring countries a well-structured range of high-quality wines. An accompanying supporting program is intended to provide visitors from wine retailers, food retailers and gastronomy with valuable insights that help in everyday life to make wine assortments innovative and high-quality and thus stimulate their sales.”
Frank Thieme, division manager of Messe Karlsruhe, adds: “The top-class advisory board encouraged us to take this step for the wine industry. We are very pleased to be able to present a solid, carefully designed and affordable trade fair offer to the market in the heart of the largest German growing regions.”
David Köhler, project manager of EUROVINO, underlines the importance of focusing on the market and its need for the conception of the fair: “Only through intensive personal contact with wine producers and buyers can the wishes of the market be taken up. We are very close to the industry in exchange in order to incorporate into the design of EUROVINO everything that is really essential for our exhibitors and visitors.” In addition to Dr. Hermann Pilz, among others, Claudia Stern from Wine & Glory, Michael Kugel from the Association of The Wine Officers, Petra Neuber from the Association of Organic Wineries ECOVIN, Martin Schmidt from Friedrich Kiefer KG Private Winery and Winery, Holger Willy from Rolf Willy GmbH, Martin Kutscher from Scheck-In – Shopping – Center Achern GmbH, Felix Riegel from Peter Riegel Weinimport GmbH and Barbara Wanner from Organize Communications GmbH. Advisory boards thus represent the most important target groups of the wine industry both on the supplier and on the customer side and also stand for consulting, expertise and networking in the respective region.
Another specialist event on the subject of “wine” – the Winzer-Service-Messe – has been in the guest trade fair portfolio since 2015 and contributes to Messe Karlsruhe’s great competence on this topic.
