GrindTec, international trade fair for tool processing and tool grinding, invites the industry from the 7th to the 10th. March 2023 to Leipzig. The venue and the date of the event are not the only changes. With the Leipziger Messe as the new organizer and an optimized concept, the leading international trade fair will be further developed under the motto “From users for users”. The Association of Precision Tool Mechanics e. V. (FDPW), which co-founded the event, is and remains the ideal and professional sponsor of GrindTec. In this function, he has revised the content profile of the fair and adapted it to current industry needs. In addition, the trade fair will take place from 2023 parallel to the trade fair double Intec and Z, which has been successful for many years. With their focus on the metalworking industry as well as on the supplier industry, the trade fairs form an ideal framework and offer synergy effects for exhibitors and trade visitors.

“We are very pleased that GrindTec can restart in Leipzig. This is a great message, because GrindTec, with its focus on tool processing and tool grinding, fits perfectly with our international trade fairs Intec and Z. GrindTec has developed strongly since its first implementation in 1998. We want to continue this successful path together with the FDPW,” says Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe.

Further growth targeted

Leipzig’s strong anchoring in mechanical and plant engineering as well as in the automotive industry provides an excellent starting position for one of the most important meeting places in the toolmaking industry to continue to grow. In addition, there is the excellent geographical location of the location within Germany and Europe,” emphasizes Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Uwe Schmidt, President of the FDPW. He adds: “With Leipziger Messe GmbH, we were able to win a strong partner who has proven expertise in holding industrial fairs. Enormous potential is also provided by the existing international connections of the trade fair company, from which the further development of GrindTec can only benefit.”

Prof. Dr. Wilfried Saxler, Managing Director of the FDPW, comments: “Visitors and exhibitors can look forward to a GrindTec that will present itself specialized, spatially compactly and – as usual – strongly network-oriented. We are firmly convinced that GrindTec will continue the previous success story with its new organizer, its sharpened profile on artisanal and industrial tool grinding technology and its clear focus ‘from users for users’.”

This began in 1998 at the previous Augsburg location. The FDPW is the professional association for all companies in Germany and neighboring countries that grind, manufacture, process and distribute cutting tools as well as industrial knives. However, it is also open to other grinding technologies, such as round, flat, profile and centerless grinding, provided that they are related to tool grinding or tool and knife production.

Technical depth and further internationalization

For the first time from the 7th to the 10th March 2023 and then always in the odd years, GrindTec is aimed at trade users in the industry on the visitor side. Metalworking companies that use production machines and tools and need in-house grinding technology solutions will find what they are looking for at GrindTec. This also applies, for example, to tool grinders and tool manufacturers who are looking for equipment for their companies and services.

Exhibitors include suppliers of tool processing systems, manufacturers of grinding machines for tool production and processing as well as producers of grinding and dressing technology, as well as suppliers of machine peripherals and companies in the field of process technology. The offer is completed by process peripherals, software as well as research and development. The variety of GrindTec offers thus offers a comprehensive overview of innovations, applications and services.

As an independent, compact exhibition, the GrindTec takes place parallel to the trade fairs Intec and Z. Intec, one of the leading trade fairs for metalworking in Europe and Z, one of the most important European supplier fairs, together with GrindTec, form a powerful trade fair network that perfectly reflects the entire metalworking value chain and from which many synergy effects can be expected.

The newly created trade fair network thus significantly increases the attractiveness for trade visitors. Its international appeal as well as the acquisition of exhibitors via the 24 foreign representations of the Leipziger Messe lay a significant foundation for the further positive development of GrindTec.
