【DE】expopharm 2022: Designing a pharmacy together

Finally the time has come: In less than two months, the central industry meeting of the year for the pharmacy market – expopharm – will start. From 14th to 17th September 2022, pharmacists, PTA, PKA and pharmacy students as well as healthcare professionals from all over Germany will meet in Munich. As the leading trade fair for the pharmacy market, expopharm wants to advance the industry and therefore focuses primarily on developments: 450 exhibitors present new products, solutions for the pharmacy market and innovations on an area of more than 33,000 square meters. This year, expopharm will take place under the motto “Shaping a pharmacy together”.

 

The recipe for success of expopharm is its tripartiteness; the successful balance of exhibition, lecture program and personal exchange. Here, visitors can feel the pulse of the pharmacy market and talk to experts in the industry, says Metin Ergül, Managing Director of Avoxa – Media Group of German Pharmacists, which organizes expopharm.

 

A varied lecture program with over 200 contributions from 100 speakers promises a wealth of interesting information and forward-looking impulses. Important topics this year are e-prescription, e-health and telematics, pharmaceutical services, developments in the pharmacy market, digital customer loyalty, pharmacy management and sustainability. The scientific program also addresses current pharmaceutical questions.

 

Parallel to expopharm, the German Pharmacists’ Day (DAT) takes place, the central professional policy event of pharmacists in Germany. Here, professional representatives set the course for the future of the industry. Health politicians present their points of view and visions to the pharmacists.

 

“As a new offer of expopharm, there are formats for the entire pharmacy team this year – for pharmacy managers, pharmacists, PTA, PKA and students,” explains Madlen Bürge, Head of Trade Fairs and Congresses of the Avoxa Media Group. “On the ApoLeadership Campus, for example, recognized consultants make pharmacy managers and executives in the pharmacy team fit for the challenges of tomorrow,” says Bürge.

 

With the PTAhome, expopharm creates a meeting place for exchange and well-being. Here you can arrange PTA, make contacts and relax from the hustle and bustle of the fair. At the same time, they will find offers to further improve their consulting competence or to get to know new products.

PKAdialog is a format specifically aimed at PKA. Numerous lectures or panel discussions deal with aspects of merchandise management and the strengthening of the PKA in the pharmacy team.

 

The training classics and the established meeting places of expopharm are also not missing: pharma-world, PZ-Nachgefragt, inspirationLAB, guided theme tours, Newcomer Area, International Meeting Point and expopharm Night are back on the program.

 

A trade fair is per se the place to meet professionals, exchange ideas and network. “It is the personal encounter that makes up our lives and especially our industry,” says Madlen Bürge. After two years of pandemic-related break, the need for encounter is particularly great. To take this into account, we have also created new formats, such as Meet the Expert and Community Meeting.

To the background

expopharm is the largest European trade fair for the pharmacy market. It is carried out annually parallel to the German Pharmacists’ Day by Avoxa – Mediengruppe Deutscher Apotheker GmbH. In the past two years, a face-to-face event has not been possible due to the corona pandemic. Instead, the Avoxa media group developed the expopharm impulse as a very successful online event, which will occupy its own place in the range of events in the future. In addition, Avoxa organizes the DAV Wirtschaftsforum, the ADKA congresses and the PZ Management Congress as well as the large training congresses of the Federal Chamber of Pharmacists pharmacon.
