The Dutch manufacturing industry is very much alive and at the same time faces many challenges in the short and long term. Supply problems, cost increases and staff shortages are acute. Developments in technology and innovation have a major impact in the long term. How do you deal with that? And how do you stay successful? The Chain Theater has the answers for this, from August 30 to September 2, 2022 at ESEF Maakindustrie.
From August 30 to September 2, 2022, the entire manufacturing industry will gather in the Koninklijke Jaarbeurs, Utrecht for the trade fairs ESEF Maakindustrie and TechniShow 2022. Here you can hear everything about novelties, developments and the future of the industry. There is a large program of activities and lectures at both fairs, including the Ketentheater at ESEF Maakindustrie, in hall 10 between the entrance and the 3D-Plein.
Interesting presentations and workshops take place throughout the day on all exhibition days in the Chain Theater on topics that are current in the manufacturing industry, such as industry 4.0, productivity improvement, chain collaboration, planning and automation. Michel van Buren is the driving force behind the Chain Theatre. He is director of BLMC, which helps organizations transform towards success. Michel: ‘We see that the manufacturing industry is faced with various challenges. Through this platform we would like to contribute to the industry by sharing the knowledge of our specialists. In addition, we invited experts from science and from various industries and strong industry players share their practical cases.’
Erik Elgersma explains how you can make better decisions with data analyses, Pieter van Opstal from Dubré/Vorselaars shows how he shapes growth and Arthur van der Lee from DCS shares the do’s and don’ts of innovation from his own practice. Gerard Ekhart presents a way to ensure that you as a company will still be relevant in 10 years’ time. He wrote the book ‘The manufacturing industry crashes’. Of course he also offers a solution: ‘I see how the manufacturing industry is changing and I believe that ‘rethinking’ is urgently needed. Many companies suffer from the Kodak syndrome and remain stuck in an entrepreneurial strategy written in the last century. I have developed a new model, the Vitality Wheel, with which companies can ensure their viability in the 21st century.”
The Chain Theater at ESEF Maakindustrie is certainly also relevant for the visitors of TechniShow, and can easily be visited for free. ESEF Manufacturing Industry takes place simultaneously with Technishow.
