New brand of BSH household appliances celebrates world premiere, innovative solutions for design-savvy consumers

The second day of the IFA Innovations Media Briefing (IMB) also provided journalists with an impressive variety of innovations in the field of home appliances: Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte (BSH) presented a world premiere with its new brand Solitaire The Waterbase. As a newcomer to the German market, Tineco responded to the greater spread of hard floors with its new cordless vacuum cleaner. Presented household appliances from Bosch take into account the consumer’s desire for more sustainability. Manufacturers such as Siemens continue to drive the topic of design in the household. A preview of their program was given by Berlin Photo Week and XPRO, which will take place as partner events at the same time as IFA 2022.

The IFA Innovations Media Briefing on the 13th and 14th July at the CityCube Berlin, 14 manufacturers used to prepare for IFA preliminary reporting.

Harald Friedrich, Managing Director Robert Bosch Haushaltsgeräte GmbH, announced several Bosch world premieres for the upcoming IFA. These include the series 8 washing machines and tumble dryers, which have numerous new features and programs. The devices have a newly developed digital control ring, are networkable via Home Connect and coordinated in design. Another world premiere is the Series 8 of built-in ovens with steam cooking and Air Fry function. Friedrich announced further innovations for IFA, especially from the field of steam cooking, for IFA 2022.

With our new brand Solitaire The Waterbase, BSH will present a world first at IFA 2022 that provides an answer to new requirements in interior design, living and kitchen concepts. The Infinity Cover makes the sink invisible without affecting functionality. It ensures a closed surface and a uniform aesthetic. The faucet is equipped with Hydronic Select and allows up to six different offers: from ice-cold to boiling, still to sparkling water. A touch display allows intuitive operation. Integrated storage solutions in the Smart Body make dishwashing utensils disappear elegantly.”

 

Power briefing from Siemens:

Siemens Hausgeräte deals intensively with the changes in living conditions. Michael Mehnert, Managing Director Siemens Hausgeräte, announced a new trend report, which will be presented at IFA 2022. According to Mehnert, a new product that stands particularly for quality of life is the fully automatic coffee machine. Siemens presented its new model EQ 900 in Berlin. It has “bean intelligence” that automatically recognizes the type of bean in order to fully emphasize the coffee taste. In addition, Mehnert presented the oven series iQ 700, which brings artificial intelligence into play for cooking.

 

Marco Getz, General Manager Europe, Tineco:

“With our battery-powered cordless vacuum cleaners and wet/dry cleaners, we take into account the trend towards more hard floors in German households. The iLoop Smart dust sensor in the S15 cordless vacuum cleaner adjusts the suction power for both carpet and hard floors depending on the dirt. This results in up to four times longer battery life with constant cleaning performance. The built-in multicyclone separates air from the dirt, which improves performance. In our S5 series of wet/dry cleaners, two-channel technology is used for hygienic cleaning. Wiping and vacuuming are carried out in one operation and this saves up to 50% time. We are pleased to present the next generation of wet/dry cleaners at IFA 2022. ”

Power Briefing from XPRO Berlin:

The last program item at the IFA Innovations Media Briefing 2022 presented XPRO, a new interdisciplinary, hybrid and year-round trade fair concept. Messe Berlin is developing a new European marketplace for experience technologies, products and services with XPRO Berlin. The aim is to gradually expand XPRO Berlin into the leading B2B marketplace. At IFA 2022, XPRO will also present the concept in Hall 21 and has gathered several innovative companies in the field of experience technologies.
