Under the motto “Shaping the future together” on the 16th. February 2023, the FuturaVet will take place for the first time – a new format for all those interested in veterinary medicine, agriculture and human medicine who want to actively make a difference in their areas.
The FuturaVet hides a forward-looking congress format that was created to develop promising, innovative approaches to veterinary medicine – for the benefit of the human-animal or animal-human relationship. Solution-oriented concepts and strategies for a sustainable future are to be developed through a versatile view of current and important focus topics from veterinary medicine, one-health and agriculture such as medical care, zoonoses, animal husbandry, environmental protection, climate change and nutrition.
The competence of the veterinary industry must be listened more – together with the other professional groups involved – as has recently been shown by the corona pandemic. Exchange of knowledge and opinions are the buzzwords here.
The focus is on networking and contacting with other visionary service providers from the different industries.
The goal is to get involved together and develop new, groundbreaking projects. That’s why start-ups and future technologies as well as digitization and digital transformation also play a major role at FuturaVet.
The kick-off event will take place on the 16th. February 2023 as a pure online format in one afternoon. From 2025, FuturaVet will be organized as a face-to-face/hybrid event with an attached industry exhibition and a networking place in Leipzig.
The guiding theme of FururaVet 2023 is the human-animal or animal-human relationship.
The program will be presented with a keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Peter Kunzmann.
The following lecture blocks follow
- Farm animals: understanding of values, food supply, modern technologies
- Small animals/horse: interaction of humans & animals, animal love, animal-assisted therapies
- One-Health: Dealing with resources, interaction in the future, interdisciplinary cooperation
Following each topic block follows a summary and a conclusion by the respective moderators. The conclusion is a merging of the lecture blocks.
The topics, scenarios and solutions discussed at FuturaVet will subsequently be introduced into society and politics.
FuturaVet is an initiative of the Dessau Zukunftskreis. The Leipziger Messe acts as a cooperation partner.
