German edition of the VET shows fits perfectly into the global veterinary trade fair portfolio with a high-quality veterinarian congress
After CloserStill Media, organizer of the VET since 2017, and Hinte Messe announced their partnership at the last German VET Show and will hold the fair together from next year, the location is now also changing: From the 26th to the 27th. May 2023, the two-day trade fair format with accompanying veterinary congress will take place for the first time on the grounds of Messe Dortmund and will depict the entire veterinary industry in Germany.
The trade fair German VET will take place from 26th to 27th May 2023 for the first time in Dormund and thus replaces the Cologne location. On the one hand, Messe Dortmund is expanding its guest and trade fair portfolio with a prestigious event format that is very well received on the global veterinary market. On the other hand, the location is thus further expanding its expertise in the field of animal fairs and exhibitions. The German VET is the local edition of an international trade fair series with locations in Singapore, London, Austin, Chicago, New York and France, for example. So far, more than 170 national and international providers have presented themselves on the German trade fair platform with their products and services accompanied by the valuable and innovative Veterinary Congress with a variety of lectures and workshops.
The German VET addresses its offer to veterinarians, practices and clinics as well as specialists working there and offers a comprehensive overview of products and services in the veterinary-medical field. The education-oriented congress imparts the latest knowledge from the medical fields of surgery, general medicine, exotics, cardiology, imaging and dermatology. The VET will take place once a year in Hall 3 on an area of over 6,000 square meters – and will also use various conference and meeting rooms.
“We are very pleased to include such a renowned trade fair as the Deutsche VET in our event calendar and thus also to further strengthen the trade fair location Dortmund. As a host for formats of international importance, Messe Dortmund is ideally positioned with around 700,000 visitors and 9,000 exhibitors annually, a multifunctional space with nine halls and various conference facilities as well as great expertise in specialist, public, special interest and guest fairs,” explains Sabine Loos, head of the trade fair and managing director of the Westfalenhallen group of companies.
This is what Rob Chapman, MD of the Vet Show portfolio of CloserStill Media, says about the cooperation with Hinte GmbH: “We are very pleased about this next phase of the development of Deutsche VET. The event has been incredibly well received since its introduction in 2017. Our relationship with Hinte Messe continues our philosophy of building relationships with the best of their kind in all areas. With the Stiftung Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover (TiHO) we have a first-class educational partner, and with Thieme we work with the most renowned medical publisher in Germany and now we have built up a partnership with Hinte Messe that includes German event expertise and will help to maximize the enormous potential in Dortmund that was visible in the German Vet from the beginning.”
Christoph Hinte, CEO of HINTE GmbH, is also pleased: “We are very pleased to start working on Deutsche VET. After working with CloserStill Media at other events and really dealing with the values of the Vet shows and now working with partners such as TiHo and Thieme, we are pleased to make the event a pillar of the German veterinary calendar.”
