【DE】Pins of the Allgäu Festival Week

The coveted pin shows this year’s poster motif with the title “Come on, we’re going to the festival week” by Sylvia Müller in small format. It is the symbol for the restart of the Allgäu Festival after a 2-year break due to the pandemic and is intended to connect the people who wear it. The festival pin shows: “We were at the Allgäu Festival 2022!” and remains with the wearer as a symbol of togetherness and a souvenir.

 

But the festival pin can do much more than that, because it is also the key to the festival raffle thanks to its unique and forgery-proof engraving on the back:

 

The idea for this came from City Councilor Peter Wagenbrenner, who spent weeks contacting companies from Kempten and the region and was able to acquire 71 high-quality and varied prizes with a total value of over €20,000.

 

Sometimes it’s about attractive non-cash prizes or vouchers, sometimes it’s about an extraordinary service or an admission ticket and sometimes it’s about a funny curiosity.

 

Everything is possible, from a fashionable festival week outfit to a balloon ride or a scenic flight through the Alps, to a pallet of pellets, a meter of pizza, 2 crates of beer a month for a whole year or a rental car for a weekend.

 

“I immediately found a sympathetic ear from all the sponsors. Many thanks to all supporters. I wish the participants in the tombola good luck,” said City Councilor Peter Wagenbrenner.

 

How does the Festwochen raffle work?

The path to happiness is very easy: there is a limited number of pins. Anyone who has purchased one of these will automatically take part in the raffle. At the end of the Allgäu Festival Week, a number will be drawn for each of the 71 prizes. Since the number engraved on the back of the pin is unique, the prizes can be assigned and the pin owners remain anonymous. But that also means: No pin, no profit! Because whoever loses his pin cannot be determined. “Take good care of the pin” is the motto. Which number won which prize will be drawn after the Allgäu Festival Week and announced via the website festwoche.com, the Allgäu Newspaper and the social media channels of the Allgäu Festival Week. The prizes can be collected from Kempten Messe- und Veranstaltungs-Betrieb (Sandstraße 10, 87439 Kempten) by presenting the original pin by September 30th.

 

Where can you buy a lapel pin?

The pins can be purchased before and during the Allgäu Festival Week for €4.50 at the Tourist Information (Rathauspl. 24, 87435 Kempten, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m p.m.) or on the festival grounds at a stand on Königsplatz.
