On the 3rd and 4th September 2022 the time has finally come again: The eye optics industry meets at Messe Dortmund for the INTERLOOK trade fair. For the first time, the event (previously: Brille & Co.), which has been established in Dortmund for more than ten years, will take place under a new name. Strong brands and independent labels have announced their coming and are looking forward to the launch of the eye optics trade fair in Dortmund.


Dortmund – Exchange, network, order and inform: In over ten years, the INTERLOOK specialist format has developed into the most important information and trading platform for the optics industry centrally in the heart of NRW. Exhibitors and visitors were already able to convince themselves of the modern ‘look & feel’ in September 2021. In a contemporary ambience, with a varied stage program and a special show with current trend versions and accessories, the event took place for the first time under the aegis of Messe Dortmund. The summary: consistently positive. Overall, the fair has become much more valuable. The concept and the brand environment agreed with us. It has great potential and with NRW as its location it goes in a good direction,” says Guido Wolf, Managing Partner of Wolf Continental GmbH. From 3rd to 4th September 2022, INTERLOOK trade visitors can once again expect a wide range of products and services from all relevant topics of the eye optic industry: frames, accessories, glasses, contact lenses, hearing acoustics, screening and diagnostic devices are covered by the wide range of exhibitor portfolio as well as a range of advice, training and further education opportunities and IT solutions. Examples of the latter are, for example, the company Contedi, which enables opticians to professionally manage customer appointments and evaluations with its online tools, as well as the Optonia-Bildungspark technical school, whose portfolio includes master classes, seminars and the ophthalm optics degree program, and Sinfona – the specialist for marketing, sales & consulting around hearing acoustics specialist


Numerous exhibiting international companies and labels also provide a professional range of information and orders. Represented are among others Companies from Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the USA and the Czech Republic. These include large providers such as Marcolin, Visibilia, VISTAN or GIGI STUDIOS and high-reach independent labels such as ic! berlin, Hamburg Eyewear and HERZBLUT eyewear as well as the brand George Gina Lucy and the indie labels LIGHTBIRD eyewear and Zen Eyewear. Zen Eyewear is the first exhibitor at Messe Dortmund’s eye optics trade fair this year, as is the Barcelona-based label Etnia Eyewear Culture with its colorful models, the Dutch eyewear designer Roger Eye Design or the provider of exclusive luxury accessories Any Di GmbH from Unterföhring. The trade fair offer thus extends from designer and sunglasses for adults, to children’s glasses from e.g. B. IVKOPAL, IVKO and Nanovista to sports glasses from JULBO. Anniversaries are also represented again at this year’s Augenoptik trade fair. OWP Brillen is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year and Meitzner+Meitzner is even celebrating its 80th anniversary.
