【DE】Creative Content Conference @ PHOTOPIA 2022: The concentrated program of the three-day conference is online

After the successful start last year, the Creative Content Conference @ PHOTOPIA 2022 will start again. From 14th to 16th October 2022, the conference for professional photographers and content creators will present a diverse program. The three conference days are each thematic focus: “Wedding & Portrait” on Friday, “Editorial & Documentary” on Saturday and “Commercial & Lifestyle” on Sunday. The first part of the conference program is now online and will be supplemented with further highlights in the coming weeks.

On Friday, the 14th October, the Creative Content Conference is all about current trends in wedding, portrait and people photography. The wedding photographer duo Julia & Gil give the starting signal with their lecture “More is not the solution – Higher sales with less work”. In addition to other lectures, including by Michael Taterka with “I am not a wedding photographer” or Kerstin and Paul Rockstein on the topic “The Power of Nudging – How we turn our customers into brand ambassadors”, there will be an informative industry talk of the bpp (bund professioneller portraitfotografen), which has taken over the patronage of the first day of the conference.

On Saturday, the 15th October, as part of the main topic “Editorial & Documentary”, the photojournalists Ksenia Kuleshova and David Klammer talk about “Personal long-term projects and orders: preparation, process and highlights” and “The other view – synergies between free projects and commissioned productions”. The photographer collective DOCKS reports on their documentation of the flood disaster in the Ahr Valley before the question “Career or child? – How parenthood and independence can be reconciled” in a panel discussion of the Female Photoclub at the end of the day.

The last day of the Creative Content Conference, Sunday the 16th. October, finally revolves around commercial and lifestyle photography. Here, for example, Bob Sala will give personal insights into his way of working with his lecture “The Barman – Easy remarks about the multi-volume works of a day labor poet” before there are helpful tips from Felix Brauner, Caroline Gerst and Marcel Kusch for career starters with “How to Start – 3 young photographers about their career entry”. Silke Güldner also sheds light on the background and factors of professional fee design in her lecture “From inquiry to order – fees, rights of use and customer communication.” The highlight at the end of the Creative Content Conference is a lecture by photographer Joachim Baldauf on the change in advertising portrait photography in times of social media. The program is under the patronage of the Berufsverband Freie Fotografen und Filmgestalter e. V. (BFF e. V.) and is actively co-designed by the BFF Academy.
