【DE】EuroTier/EnergyDecentral 2022: Register now for “DLG Agrifuture Concept Winners”

New award of visionary future concepts for livestock farming and decentralized energy supply – registration deadline 12. August 2022

At the EuroTier and EnergyDecentral trade fairs in 2022, the DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft) will award concepts and visions for animal husbandry and decentral energy supply for the first time, which are in the development phase and are not yet available on the market. The award of the “DLG-Agrifuture Concept Winner” is intended to focus on solutions that can give decisive impulses for the future viability of livestock farming or decentralized energy supply. All exhibitors of EuroTier and EnergyDecentral 2022 are eligible to participate. “The decisive factor for an award is that the concepts have the relevance and potential to improve good professional practice,” explains Ines Rathke, project manager of EuroTier. In the current debate, the animal husbandry industry needs innovative visions and technical possibilities in which it could develop over the next five to ten years. Marcus Vagt, project manager of EnergyDecentral, adds: “The conversion of our energy supply is a huge challenge. For this purpose, innovations and new smart concepts must be developed and brought to the market. Especially for start-ups looking for investors, the awards “Innovation Award EnergyDecentral” and the “DLG-Agrifuture Concept Winner” are first-class seal of approval.”

 

An independent jury of members of the Junge DLG and other experts from the industry will honor the winners. The following criteria are mandatory for the awarding of the DLG-Agrifuture Concept Winner (50 percent of the overall rating):

 

  • Innovative character,
  • Relevance for practice,
  • Transferability to other agricultural regions,
  • Chance of realistic feasibility,
  • Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

 

Further, selectable criteria are depending on the apply to the concept or technology (50 percent of the overall rating):

 

  • Animal health/well-being,
  • Climate effects,
  • Water,
  • Biodiversity,
  • Sustainability,
  • Energy balance,
  • Labor economy.

 

A shortlist of submissions will be published in September, the award ceremony of the “DLG-Agrifuture Concept Winner” will take place on the 17th. November 2022.
