After two years of pandemic, digital transformation has made great progress in many areas. TECHTIDE has closely accompanied these developments and given important impulses. This year, TECHTIDE will be on the 12th and 13th. September as a face-to-face event in the Convention Center at the exhibition center in Hanover.
In addition to a comprehensive digital infrastructure, the digital competence of all people is the key factor for a good perspective in Lower Saxony. For this reason, the state launched the TECHTIDE digital conference four years ago in order to offer all citizens the opportunity to inform themselves about current challenges of digital transformation either on site at the exhibition center in Hanover or virtually.

Hanover. In addition to a comprehensive digital infrastructure, the digital competence of all people is the key factor for a good perspective in Lower Saxony. For this reason, the state launched the TECHTIDE digital conference four years ago in order to offer all citizens the opportunity to inform themselves about current challenges of digital transformation either on site at the exhibition center in Hanover or virtually. The comprehensive and inspiring program offers something for everyone.
After the opening at TECHTIDE NIGHT on the 12th September by Minister of Economic Affairs Bernd Althusmann, the conference starts on the 13th. September on six stages in the Convention Center at the exhibition center in Hanover.
Stage 1 deals with topics such as digitization in administration, broadband, fiber optics and 5G. The program is based on best practice solutions from the digital flagship countries Estonia and Finland. Representatives from municipalities, administrations and counties are invited.
Stage 2 focuses on business and digitization as well as the future of work and logistics. The topics are aimed at chambers of commerce as well as employers and employees. Among other things, it will be discussed how work is changing in the transformation of the agricultural and mobility economy and what opportunities for participation and participation opportunities the digital world of work offers.
Stage 3 is all about digitization in everyday life, for example in retail or care. Interested citizens learn how the retail trade reads the thoughts of customers with the help of artificial intelligence or which digital skills are required in volunteering.
Stage 4 is aimed at pupils, students, teachers and parents. It deals with topics such as school in transition or lifelong learning. The first session examines the question of what has happened in education and digital sovereignty since the last TECHTIDE.
Stage 5 is dedicated to the topics of critical infrastructure, digital security, dystopia eduopia or new technologies and is primarily interesting for digital pioneers. The topics are very diverse, among other things, resilience and IT security in critical energy supply or digital solutions for sustainable water management.
Stage 6 is reserved for the many Lower Saxony startups. The scene is characterized by strong technical know-how and a close bond with the universities.
