Providers and users from dangerous goods and hazardous materials logistics as well as the associated safety aspects can – after the corona-related break in 2020 – from the 8th to the 10th. November 2022 finally again as part of the GGS – Trade Fair Dangerous Goods // Exchange hazardous substances on site at the Leipzig Trade Fair. Preparations for the third edition of the industry platform are in full swing: During GGS 2022, renowned exhibitors will present their innovations, products and services for the transport of dangerous goods, storage and intralogistics of hazardous substances as well as for ensuring the safety-relevant requirements of all processes in the associated logistics chain. In doing so, GGS addresses logisticians from the various areas as well as dangerous goods and other safety officers. The practice-oriented and diverse specialist program enriches the trade fair offer with added value for all visitor groups.


“In November of this year, we can finally offer the industry the Europe-wide unique platform for dangerous goods and hazardous material logistics. As part of the trade fair preparation, we perceive the strong need of exhibitors to re-enter their personal dialogue with the trade audience, present product innovations and set impulses for the industry. The appointment in the autumn of the even years is ideal, as the one for the 1st January 2023, changing regulations of the ADR and RID, which enter into force on a regular basis can be discussed at GGS and the associated need for information is met, says Project Director Matthias Kober.


At GGS 2022, an attractive range of exhibitors from well-known market leaders as well as innovative medium-sized companies and service providers is represented in all offer areas. Among others, asecos, Becker Umweltdienste, DENIOS, Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik, Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML, Linde Material Handling, Prodinger Verpackung, Quentic and Stöbich technology present themselves to trade visitors in Leipzig.

Practice-oriented specialist program offers added value for the professional audience


In the diverse specialist program of GGS, practice-oriented contributions from experts provide impulses for the industry. The exhibitors offer know-how and live experiences for all trade visitors with short lectures in the Open Forum and with product demonstrations in the new action forum in the middle of the trade fair events in Hall 2.


In the “Meeting Point Dangerous Goods”, the Dangerous Goods Association Germany (GGVD), the ideal carrier of the GGS, designs daily changing lecture blocks on topics of dangerous goods logistics. On the 8th In November, for example, the upcoming innovations of the ADR will be presented. On the second day of the fair, visitors can look forward to the topic of “Load securing in Germany” among other things. The lecture “Dangerous goods with the post office” is one of the program items on the last day of the GGS.


An interesting part of the specialist program is the one on the 9th. DENIOS Hazardous Substances Day, which will take place for the first time at GGS in November. Among other things, the framework conditions for collecting lithium-ion batteries in containers and handing them over to disposal companies, the new regulations for the storage of hazardous substances and best practices from hazardous material storage are discussed.


As with the previous two trade fair editions, all visitors are also involved in the campaign “The transport of dangerous goods – find the mistakes!” invited. The task for the participants is to find prepared errors on a truck standing in the exhibition hall – in particular with the loaded shipping pieces, the load securing carried out and the accompanying documents issued.
