【DE】Messe Berlin reorganizes communication department

Press spokesman Emanuel Höger expands Messe Berlin’s communication team. Looking for new minds for corporate and brand communication.

The Messe Berlin group of companies is reorganized its Communication division and is expanding the team. In the future, the two departments Corporate Communication and Brand Communication will be part of Communication.

With a focus on corporate communication, internal communication, public affairs and CSR, the focus in the area of corporate communication is at Messe Berlin GmbH. The department is headed by Christine Franke (43). Britta Wolters (46) heads the Brand Communication department, which organizes communication for Messe Berlin’s events. These include the leading trade fairs IFA, InnoTrans, ITB, FRUIT LOGISTICA and International Green Week. Both department heads report to division heads and company spokesman Emanuel Höger and assume the role of deputy company spokespersons.

“The demand for communication departments has grown strongly in recent years: With the interlocking of PR and marketing, cross-media communication strategies and a large number of social media channels, the range of tasks of communication departments has grown strongly in recent years. That’s why we are further increasing the communication sector in terms of personnel,” says area manager and Messe Berlin press spokesman Emanuel Höger. Currently, the team consists of 23 communication experts. In the future, the area is expected to continue to grow.

In the future, Messe Berlin will focus more on sustainability and corporate social responsibility. “This topic moves our house both internally and externally,” says Emanuel Höger, press spokesman for the Messe Berlin group of companies. As the new CSR manager, Esra Aoukal (26) will start in the area of corporate communication in August. Ms. Aoukal will supervise the continuation of the declaration of the German Sustainability Code (DNK), to which Messe Berlin 2020 has committed itself, and promote the further development of Messe Berlin’s CSR strategy.
