Every year, the reward study offers a comprehensive situation assessment of the benefit strategies of German companies in the areas of employee retention and motivation as well as employer branding. HR managers and managing directors of companies in the DACH region are surveyed. The results of the current study are expected in March 2023. They are available to all participants free of charge after the study has been completed. The reward study starts on the first day of the fair in Cologne. The reward study is based on a concept developed in 2014 by
was developed by the Fresenius University in Munich and since then has drawn a comprehensive and up-to-date picture of employer branding, motivation and retention measures in German companies.
Numerous HR managers and managing directors have contributed and shared their knowledge over the past eight years. Over 1,700 people participated in the 2022 Reward Study. The results have been available since March 2022 and offer a detailed insight into the practice of German companies. For example, the results of the last study show that employee retention is the top priority of HR measures – closely followed by employee motivation, employer branding and recruiting. At the same time, the results make it clear that benefits play an important role in achieving strong employee retention. However, the HR managers surveyed also appreciate that the employees do not know and use all the benefits.
