The new community convention of the north, the Polaris, is getting closer and closer and more exhibitors are joining the event: Nintendo, Canon, Games Workshop and Yvolve are joining the already announced participants Crunchyroll, Daedalic, gamecity, Wired, etc. This means that far more than 100 exhibitors are already registered at Polaris.
Polaris will be a playable adventure park where visitors can not only play all kinds of interesting games, but also experience much more together with creators and community members: There will be five areas divided into two large exhibition halls. Among other things, guests in the loot desert can look forward to exciting gaming exhibitors, get closer to Asian pop culture in Neo Taki, or satisfy their hunger and thirst in the Munchie Market. The Valdhaym area is already fully booked, where the themes of artists, cosplay and table top are at home. With the newly confirmed creators Papaplatte, Lara Loft, Space Frogs, Reeze, Sissor, Klengan and Der Heider, further entertainment is also provided.
The Cyberdome area also offers great topics from e-sports. In addition to the hands-on tournaments of Super Smash Bros and Rocket League, there will be e-sports coaching at the RCADIA stand, among others. The topic is also very important on the five stages of Polaris, the first e-sports stage program items will soon be announced via social media.
In addition to great exhibitors and creators, politics has also announced itself. The Polaris will open on Friday at 12 noon by Hamburg’s Senator for Culture Dr. Carsten Brosda and Japanese Consul General Kato Kikuko. Hamburg Mayor Dr. Peter Tschentscher will visit Polaris on Saturday.
Polaris will be playable not only physically, but also via the mobile app specially developed by Super Crowd and allows visitors to collaborate in real time and earn rewards that apply to the entire trade fair. For example, certain items should not be available for sale until a certain number of group points have been collected.
