So a visit is worthwhile in any case – and accordingly the who’s who of the tobacco industry will meet again at Messe Dortmund.
Among other things, there will be two real superstars from the USA and Germany who will not miss the “Comeback of the Year”: The multiple boxing world champion Mike Tyson will visit InterTabac on Friday (16. For more than 40 years, InterTabac has established itself as the world’s largest trade fair for tobacco products and smoking supplies, in 2015, InterSupply, which has since taken place in parallel, celebrated its premiere as an international trade fair for the production process of tobacco products, e-cigarettes, pipes and hookahs.
Experience the diversity of the industry in nine halls
This year, the exhibitors of the trade fair duo occupy a total of nine halls. As at the beginning of InterTabac and InterSupply, the classic segment around cigar, cigarette, pipes, pipe tobacco and fine cut is once again strongly represented this year. The exhibitors from these segments occupy the largest area at Messe Dortmund with halls 4 to 7. In addition to established and long-standing exhibitors, there are also many new companies that present themselves to trade visitors – for example in the ‘International Cigar Pavilion’. This year will take place for the first time at InterTabac and combines some exclusive names such as “JRE Tobacco”, “Black Star Line Cigars”, “Blue Mountain Cigars” or “Cornelio Cigar”. Thematically, in the “classic segment” this year’s focus is in particular on hand-picked cigars from family-run manufactories and limited editions or new, high-quality designs for pipe lovers.
In the neighboring hall 6, visitors will find everything about ‘Point of Sale’. Various exhibitors with a focus on specialist retailers as well as renowned wholesalers are represented here. They give retailers and other interested parties a comprehensive overview of current topics and trends. Of course, shopfitting equipment and POS systems for the trade are included as well as supplementary assortments, which include press products, spirits or lighters.
In the Westfalenhalle and Halls 1 and 2, visitors will find the Next Generation Products (NGP), which are very trendy and have been supplementing the classic segments for several years. NGP includes “heat-not-burn” products, everything related to vaping, e-cigarettes and e-liquids as well as potentially risk-reduced products (PRRP) and cannabidiol (CBD). The ‘snus’ already popular in Scandinavia will also be presented on site. A special feature is the possibility to test different products and flavors, because as in the other halls, tasting is expressly desired here as well. For example, retailers have the opportunity to take home impulses for their own assortment composition – even beyond the classic segment.
Shisha suppliers and the associated accessories such as coals are again represented in part of Hall 6 and the entire Hall 8 this year.
In Hall 3, the InterSupply Hall, visitors can find out about the comprehensive range around the production processes of tobacco products and liquids as well as their processing and packaging. As in the other halls, there are dozens of new exhibitors to discover here.
Visitors can reach all nine halls via three entrances and exits: In addition to the main entrance of the Westfalenhalle, the trade fair entrances North and West are open as in previous years. In this way, all exhibitors can be reached quickly and conveniently by visitors.
